Song Hye Kyo's upcoming drama "The Glory" will officially premiere this year.
The upcoming Netflix original series "The Glory" that will be helmed by director Ahn Gil Ho ("Stranger") and writer Kim Eun Sook ("Descendants of the Sun," "Goblin," and "Mr. Sunshine") will officially air this December. According to YTN News on October 26th, the thriller melodrama will be released in December.
The upcoming series will be Song Hye Kyo's comeback drama after the 2021 series "Now, We Are Breaking Up" with Jang Ki Yong, Choi Hee Seo, Kim Joo Heon, Park Hyo Joo, and Yoon Na Moo. This will also be the reunion project of Song Hye Kyo and writer Kim Eun Sook. The two worked together in the 2016 KBS series "Descendants of the Sun."
Song Hye Kyo has starred in several dramas that showcased her delicate and deep acting. This time, she will show a different side of her, one full of anger and hatred.
The actress is known for being the main lead in the dramas "Encounter," "Descendants of the Sun," "That Winter, The Wind Blows," "The World That They Live In," "Full House," "Autumn Tale," "Soonpoong Clinic," and more.
"The Glory" will be led by Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Im Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Yeom Hye Ran, and Jung Sung Il.
The drama is centered around the revenge of a woman who was a victim of severe bullying as a student in high school. Now that she's an adult, she decides to seek vengeance on the people who made her life miserable back in high school. She is the homeroom teacher of the bully's kid.
Song Hye Kyo will portray the role of Moon Dong Eun, the high school student who had her dreams of becoming an architect stolen from her due to bullying. She decides to take revenge on both the perpetrator and the bystander who did nothing to stop her pain now that they are all adults.
