Song Joong Ki is in discussion to star in the upcoming movie "Ro Ki Wan."

On October 25, media outlet YTN Star revealed that Song Joong Ki will be the main lead of the upcoming movie "Ro Ki Wan."

Song Joong Ki's agency High Zium Studio confirmed that the actor did receive the casting offer and he is positively reviewing the film. Back in 2017, there were reports that Song Joong Ki will lead the film but his previous agency denied the casting news.

"Ro Kiwan" will be the latest work of director Kim Hee Jin. The film will revolve around a man from North Hamhyong Province who is smuggled to Belgium and a broadcast writer who follows his whereabouts. The upcoming film will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jo Hae Jin.

Song Joong Ki will reportedly portray the character of a North Korean defector.

There are no other details yet about the premiere date and other casts for "Ro Ki Wan."

Before Song Joong Ki returns to the big screen, the actor will first lead the much-awaited JTBC drama "Reborn Rich" with Lee Sung Min, Shin Hyun Bin, Yoon Je Moon, Kim Jung Nan, and Jo Han Chul. The drama will premiere on November 18th.

Song Joong Ki is also set to star in the upcoming movie "Bogotá: City of the Lost" which was delayed due to the pandemic and the film "Hwaran" with Hong Xa Bin, BIBI, and Park Bo Kyung.

Song Joong Ki has been busy appearing in both dramas and films. Last year, the actor starred in the movie "Space Sweepers" and the hit tvN drama "Vincenzo."

The actor is known for leading the dramas "Arthdal Chronicles Part 1: The Children of Prophecy," "Descendants of the Sun," "The Innocent Man," and "Sungkyunkwan Scandal." He also made an impact with the films "The Battleship Island," "A Werewolf Boy," "Penny Pinchers," and "Five Senses of Eros."
