Directed by Park Hoon Jung and produced by Geumwol Studio & New, The Childe tells the story of different forces, including an enigmatic man named Gwi Gong Ja (played by Kim Sun Ho), who appears in front of boxer Marco (played by Kang Tae Joo) roaming illegal boxing rings in the Philippines, unleashing a pursuit of madness.

From films like Le Grand Chef, The Taste of Money, The Treacherous, and The Vanished, to dramas like Husband Oh Jak Doo, Woman of 9.9 Billion, and Artificial City, Kim Kang Woo has showcased a wide range of the acting spectrum, transcending genres, and characters, portraying both good and evil. In the new film The Childe, he takes on the role of a villain, emanating a powerful presence.

In The Childe, Kim Kang Woo plays Han Yi Sa, a second-generation conglomerate heir who persistently pursues Marco, catalyzing all the events. Kim Kang Woo stated, "While the villains I have portrayed in the past have been mainly intellectual characters, Han Yi Sa is someone whose body reacts before his mind." During the recent press conference on the 22nd, he expressed his affection for the character, saying, "Among the villainous roles I have played so far, this one is my favorite. He is straightforward and refreshing."

With his vibrant gaze and unpredictable actions as Han Yi Sa, Kim Kang Woo marks another milestone in the lineup of villain characters in Park Hoon Jung's world, following Park Sung Woong in New World, Park Hee Soon in The Witch and Cha Seung Won in Night in Paradise, elevating the tension of the film.

The Childe is set to be released in theaters on June 21st.
