Upcoming KBS drama "Dear M" will be first released in Japan. 

On March 24th several media outlets shared that "Dear M" will be broadcasted first in Japan instead of its original plan to air on KBS. The drama is set to premiere in the second half of 2022. 

A representative of KBS confirmed the reports. The station stated that the "Dear M" team has signed a contract for broadcasting rights in different countries including Japan. Japan decided to air the drama ahead from Korea. 

"Dear M" is a youth romance drama that narrates the stories of four students from Seoyeon University. An anonymous post by "M" on the student's forum shocked the whole school. These four students will search who is the mysterious "M." As they search for the answer, friendships and romantic relationships will also rise between them.

The drama is led by Park Hye Soo and NCT's Jeong Jae Hyun,  Roh Jeong Eui, Bae Hyun Sung, UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk, and Woo Da Vi.

"Dear M" is directed by Park Jin Woo and Seo Joo Wan. The script is written by Lee Seul who is the author of the four seasons of "Love Playlist." 

"Dear M" was originally planned to air on February 26 last year. But because of Park Hye Soo's controversy, the broadcasting date was postponed. Park Hye Soo got embroiled in a school bullying controversy. The actress denied the allegation and shared her side of the story. Meanwhile, the alleged victims are firm with their claims regarding Park Hye Soo. The actress has filed a lawsuit against 

According to reports, the drama has already finished filming and is already ready for full broadcast. There will be 12 episodes with 6o minutes duration each.
