Upcoming drama "Uncle Samsik" announces its cast lineup

Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Seo Hyun Woo will be working together for the upcoming drama "Uncle Samsik."

On October 11th, it was officially confirmed that Song Kang Ho will be joined by the finest actors Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Seo Hyun Woo in his debut drama "Uncle Samsik." 

"Uncle Samsik" will revolve around two men with strong bromance named Samsik and Kim San and their journey during the turbulent times in the early 1960s.

The upcoming series will be the next work of director Shin Yeon Shick who also helmed "Cassiopeia" and "One Win." 

The production company Slingshot Studio shared, "We have officially finalized the major casting. Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Ha, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Seo Hyun Woo joined together and have completed a reliable lineup. We will not disappoint the viewers with a well-made work that is worthy of its name."

The broadcast channel and other details are yet to be announced.

Song Kang Ho was the first to be confirmed for the drama. He will play the role of Sam Sik. This will the first ever drama in his entire career. The actor has only been starring in movies since his debut.

Byun Yo Han will play the role of Kim San, the person who will have a strong bromance with Sam Sik. He is an elite from the Korea Military Academy. While he is training in the United States, he suddenly had a change of heart and pursued economics. He also returns to Korea with the dream of changing the nation into an industrial economy. He will then face the reality of the situation and meets Sam Sik. The two have the same dream and they will work together to achieve it. 

Lee Kyu Hyung will play as Kang Sung Min, the aspiring next leader. He has achieved his desire with the help of Sam Sik but now, he wants to dump Sam Sik. 

Seo Hyun Woo will give life to the character named Jung Han Min. He is an elite soldier from the army. He is also an Albright scholarship student just like Kim San. Unlike Kim San, he stayed in the military and dreams of reforming the military.

"Uncle Samsik" will reportedly have a total of 10 episodes.
