Yeon Woo Jin will reportedly join the cast of the upcoming drama "Morning Comes to the Mental Ward."

On May 30th several media outlets reported that Yeon Woo Jin will be one of the main leads of the upcoming drama "Morning Comes to the Mental Ward." 

Yeon Woo Jin's agency Jump Entertainment responded to the reports and shared that the actor is positively considering the casting offer in the upcoming Netflix original series. 

"Morning Comes to the Mental Ward" will base its story on the webtoon of the same name by writer Iraha. The series will revolve around the happenings in a psychiatric ward. It will also showcase the real-life circumstances of a psychiatric nurse. 

The series will be helmed by director Lee Jae Gyoo ("All Of Us Are Dead"). The Netflix original series will be produced by Film Monster. 

Park Bo Young is currently in talks to lead the series. Other reported casts of the drama include Lee Jung Eun, Lee Sang Hee, and Lim Jae Hyeok

The broadcast date of "Morning Comes to the Mental Ward" is not yet revealed. 

If Yeon Woo Jin accepts the offer, this will be his first drama for 2022. He started the year with two movies. He was part of "Special Delivery" and "Serve the People."

Last year, the actor starred in the JTBC drama "Thirty-Nine" with Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun, Lee Moo Saeng, and Lee Tae Hwan. He was also part of the film "The Cursed: Dead Man's Prey" and "Shades of the Heart."

Yeon Woo Jin made his acting debut in 2009. He has starred in several dramas such as "Ojakgyo Brothers," "When A Man's in Love," "Marriage, Not Dating," "Divorce Lawyer in Love," "Introverted Boss," "Queen for Seven Days," "Priest," "I Wanna Hear Your Song," and more.
