Three idol actors will be the main leads of the upcoming webtoon-based drama "The Golden Spoon."

Former Momoland member Yeonwoo will officially join the cast of the drama "The Golden Spoon." She will be working with BTOB's Yook Sung Jae and DIA's Jung Chae Yeon

This is the first project of Yeonwoo ever since she moved to her new agency. It was also confirmed on January 19th that Yeonwoo is now part of 9ato Entertainement (Han So Hee, Jung Il Woo, Yoon Seo Ah, Kim Moo Joon, and more).

"The Golden Spoon" will be the latest drama of director Song Hyun Wook ("The King's Affection" and "Undercover") and writers  Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung ("Prime Minister and I" "My Fair Lady," and "Winter Sonata"). The drama will base its story on the webtoon with the same name by HD3. It will tell the story of a boy named Seung Cheon who gets his hands a magical spoon that gave him the ability to exchange lives with his rich best friend.

Yeonwoo will be playing the character named Oh Yeo Jin, a beautiful and daring woman who grew up in a well-off family.

"The Golden Spoon" will premiere in the second half of 2022. It will exclusively air on MBC.

Yeonwoo made her acting debut in 2017. Ever since then, the idol-turned actress has starred in a drama yearly. 

"The Golden Spoon" will be her first drama project for this year. Yeonwoo has starred in dramas such as "Tempted," "Pegasus Market," "Touch," "Alice," "Live On," "Cheat On Me, If You Can," and "Dali and the Cocky Prince." 

Yeonwoo first made her debut as an idol through MLD Entertainment's girl group, Momoland in 2016. In 2019, Yeonwoo decided to leave the group and the agency. She is now focusing on her career as an actress.
