[Discussion] The Patriot Yue Fei

The Patriot Yue Fei is an upcoming Chinese television series based on the biography of Yue Fei, a Song Dynasty general widely regarded as a patriot and national hero in Chinese culture. While the plot is based on historical sources, it also includes elements of fiction and draws ideas from the novel Shuo Yue Quanzhuan (說岳全傳) and other folk tales on the general's life. Filming started in 2011 and the series is scheduled to be released in late 2012. It will also be the first Chinese historical television series to be broadcast on HBO.

Cast
Huang Xiaoming stars as the titular character, and the supporting cast includes Gallen Lo, Shao Bing, Yu Rongguang, Allen Ting, Zhou Bin, Steve Yoo and Ruby Lin.

This looks more well done than most of the Korean historical drama's I've seen... lol I'm now intrigued, and will put this on my list. When you guys say HBO you're referring to the Chinese HBO, and not the American one right?

I don't really know, I think it refers at the American one... It says that it will be the first Chinese historical television series to be broadcast on HBO, so that would be the conclusion.

Isn't the Asian HBO called something else? I'm not sure. I've never looked that up. I'm hoping it's the American HBO, that way I can see it on TV.

I didn't know there was an Asian HBO....hahaha. But yeah I'd hope that by their meaning it means the American one. I'd definitely watch it on TV.

But, But there's many American's who don't know who George Washington is..... Or even what year the war of 1812 took place... /sigh

Anyhow It everything says HBO, but it must be a foreign division of HBO...
