I mean, it’s not everyone taste, but I saw worst dramas with mediocre acting, no chemistry, etc. KMLM is above average.

I really like it too! I would have preferred some things differently but overall the good parts way outweighed the bad parts. The two leads ❤️❤️❤️ the settings, the costumes, styling, cinematography, colour palette, the dialogues. The story had a lot of potential… I wish the writers would have chosen a different path instead of making MJH sending ML away to Xiyan. I think then the ratings would also be better.

That’s my only complaint as well. How come MJH send ML to YQ embrace by his own hand. I mean, there’s many way to protect ML. He can only blame himself to his own stupidity: first, poison ML with almost no antidote poison, second send her to YQ. If I am ML I will choose the same way ML did in the drama, adding salt to the MJH’s wound.

Some aspects could've been done differently and better, but still so many things to love about KMLM. I enjoyed it very much and the ratings won't change that.

When it comes to DJing, you're the Tinker Bell

1 hour ago from Weibo Web Edition

The original work of Spring Flower Flame has been restored, which is surprising. I was worried that it would be thunderous, but the effect was touching. The male and female protagonists are not equal, but the souls are equal. When the identities are reversed, the female protagonist becomes the only salvation for the male protagonist. Their love sublimates in this moment.

Lilliput

kill me, kill me with that ending. Liu Xue Yi is such a talented actor and very versatile in his roles. Loved him in blood of youth, and his dark character was great in the first few episodes here. Shame it didn’t continue. Just hope he will get better scripts in future projects to do him justice.

  • eliteles1  VIP

It seems that Liu Xue Yi will be the male lead in a drama with Cheng Duling, both of them will play the roles of generals. And it is an "enemies to lovers" drama. And in the original book (which has many chapters), there is a happy ending.
If it turns out that it is him, he will be the one chosen for the drama. (Please, let them keep the happy ending). It is from Tencent Video.

It's still a rumor. However, the latest dramas of Liu Xue Yi that have been confirmed (it always happens that way); indicating all the participants of the production (see that everyone is listed in the list)? It's quite possible that it's true. As well as the police drama that he is close to filming in early December.

I think because with unhappy endings it makes people hardly move on. The drama would stay in their mind and it becomes unforgettable. So I think they’re still about business. :(

  • eliteles1  VIP

A drama can also become unforgettable with a happy ending. Look at "The Globin", "Ten Miles of Peaches Blossoms".
Happy endings. And I'll remember the eternal happy ending movie: The Lord of the Rings trilogy. (A happy ending is necessary: it's the final gratification for an entire journey.) Sometimes these drama producers don't understand this.
But the drama is worth watching. And I couldn't miss a single moment of the performance of all the actors, and especially the main couple.
    ????????????❤️

Behind the scenes of Wu Jin Yan voice actor Mei Lin (Kill me love me)-drama (Awesome!)
ps:
Practically, she played the drama again.

❤️???❤️
And Liu Xue Yi recently commented that when dubbing a drama (he cried). But how could he not cry? It's like acting again.Liu Xue Yu played the male lead, Jing He, in the same drama.

Murong Jinghe, can be glamorous and rigid, can be gloomy or sunny, when crying, the surroundings are infected and broken, and when he laughs, he is worthy of all the good things in the world. Because of Liu Xueyi's interpretation, plot bugs can be ignored.

I have to say again, what a wonderful summary. I loved the symbolism you found and relating it to other moments in the drama.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • unbeliebubble

@eliteles1 Thank you @eliteles1. It is such a beautiful drama. I think there is a lot to uncover as we will rewatch the scenes. I am also amazed how handsome (Liu Xue Yi) Murong Jing He is . He is a real treat for the eyes. Indeed (Wu Jin Yan) Mei Lin is also very beautiful.

  • unbeliebubble

@eliteles1 Ok thank you :) I do it right away.

Murong Jing is beautiful and complex, indeed. Mei Lin is a sensitive and deep heroine. They complement each other perfectly.
    PS:
As for the scene of the drop of blood in the water symbolizing the loss of virginity. You are completely right (in the book Mei Lin had not been raped by anyone because they thought she might have a disease from her hometown, so men were afraid to touch her. And Murong Jing was the only one in her life. So, it makes total sense for the drama to represent it this way (because they are always processing the book), and not disregarding (it is a retelling of the book) as done in the drama.
PS: I need to read your summary again to understand a little more of your ideas about episode 1. I loved it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • unbeliebubble

@eliteles1 You are very sweet. Thank you :)
And thank you for the informations about the book. I did not read it. But I felt that her blood was important. This is why they emphazised her blood so poetically.
This pool scene was very sexy and immensely innocent at the same time. Such a perfect mix^^

"the ML itself was bad for the people"

??? Where did you see that? He was innocent of any atrocities against the people. In fact, he and the Weibei Army were victims of the people. The evil that the ML did was against one person (Mei Lin). And he redeemed himself by the end of the drama, and the heroine forgave him and he said to her until the end: "I need to make up for you for the rest of my life."

Is that what the writers thought? No, the Male Lead will not be completely happy in this life. He will have to make up for her for the rest of his life.

Ahhhhhh! The writers could have let him make up for her for the rest of his life with his love for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh! Not for her to die first. And for him to live another 10 years as an emperor, without her, without loving anyone! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!???

This scene with Jing He whipping (the corpse) is in the book. It's a crucial scene (and the drama writers really improved it in the drama).

In the book, MRJR whips a rotting corpse thinking it's her. He walks around with this corpse. His subordinate in the book (tells him to stop doing that), but he sits with her in a restaurant, etc. So... this is according to the book (but in the drama it was a thousand times more watchable). But the line from the book was missing: "Woman, do you die so easily?"

And in the book, she actually was in a coma for a year and woke up, and he found her, they were cured of all the poison and stayed together for the rest of their lives. The last scene is them enjoying the spring flowers.

Oh wow, thank you so much. This scene would have been disturbing to watch . Luckily it was improved, but the "spirit" of it remains with the tithe theme of the spring flowers instead of the rotten human flesh.
In this scene MRJH was nasty and too weird. However when I saw the flogging it felt BDSM again to me. I knew the tragedy would come.
I remember when MRJH walked among passersby with dead Mei Lin on his back, they said that he was carrying a corpse.
I was surprised because Mei Lin did not seem to be dead.
After what you said, I understand where this comes from. It was a rotten corpse originally. Ew ... How disturbing.

        ⬆️
(In fact the flogging with the whip represents his closed, apparently tough character. It was difficult for him to show love with sweetness, but with aggressive actions, but powerless against reality. Like when he lost his mother. He was attacked by his father, thrown to the ground, humiliated by his brother and then carried away by the guards. But what did he do next: he laughed diabolically, sarcastically, but inside he was crying.

            • eliteles1  VIP

Indeed. A totally contradictory character that demands a lot of attention from the actor.

SparklingDonuts

@eliteles1 yeah! while you rewatch it, pay close attention if you don’t already know what his thumbs look like. the last part of our finger is dwarf in nature (it’s called brachydactyly type D).

now what’s really bizarre is that when there are scenes when he’s looking through his hand up to the sun, they use someone else’s hand …

  • eliteles1  VIP

I already knew about his finger. I just didn't know the scientific name for the problem, as you explained.
I hadn't realized that it's not his hand through the sun. I think the scene is so beautiful (and even knowing this detail about his finger), I didn't realize that it's not his hand. (I think it is his hand. You're not mistaken?).
PS: Did you know that he's allergic to flower pollen and horse hair?
As for the flowers, there's an irony. Four dramas in which he's the male lead, in Chinese, have the word flower. 1-Love never fails; 2-In Blossom; 3-The princess Gambit; 4-Kill me love me.

  • eliteles1  VIP

@SparklingDonuts Do you have the same thumb as Liu Xue Yi??
    PS:
In Blossom, this drama is so good. I loved it. The writers took 10 years to write the script.?

The ending is not entirely sad (it's as if the writers) wanted to give us both feelings (a happy ending and a sad ending).

    @oppalover87

No, what the scene meant was: "this will happen after the sad ending that I'm going to give you." That's why the happy scene happens before the final scene. (The song already said this: We will be reborn by fire. We are lights about to go out.) I will pay you back everything I owe you. (I had understood it differently. But now I understand: it is the law of retribution in Buddhism. What he did would not be repaid in any other way (according to this philosophy), but the true happy ending would happen (but not in this life). The ending of the book (according to how it is in the book, would never be accepted by these scriptwriters), because in the book the happy ending is: We are even, the past is the past. Now we have the future. The rest of our lives until we are old, I will be with you. I will be faithful to you. I will see the spring flowers every day with you. You will be my empress, you will sit next to me in that court, and we will rule this kingdom together for many years. JingHe will see the people he helped to rise again (this is the meaning that would translate the ending of the book). But the philosophy of the drama was different (it is a happy ending according to their philosophy), but not according to the philosophy of the book (at least the impression I felt and understood).
