I recommend picking up Big Mouth again, the first 1-2 eps didn't win me over either, after that it was a lot of fun to watch for the majority of the show. I even enjoyed it after getting some spoilers.

If you didn't like Tale of the Nine Tailed, you should totall try out the second season, it is a lot more comedy/focused on bromance and mythology. You don't have to watch season 1 either :).
