UNIQUE WORDS game to increase our vocabulary - alphabetical order

Lodestar - one that serves as an inspiration, model, or guide, i.e. the north star

Nadir - the point of the celestial sphere that is directly opposite the zenith and vertically downward from the observer; the lowest point 

Ponderous - slow and clumsy because of great weight.

"her footsteps were heavy and ponderous" 

Rebuke - express sharp disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions.

Taciturn - inclined to silence; reserved in speech; reluctant to join in conversation

Not really unique but I always hear Elizabeth Bennet (Keira Knightley)'s taciturn when I think of this word and it sounds unique

Verisimilitude- Something that appears to be true or looks to be believable.
