Yeah, it wasn't much of an improvement. I'm disappointed in both series, but not cuz of the cast. Just, everything else! 

I gave BOTW a low-for-me score of 6/10. It didn't even fit the "just okay" category. (Middleman got a 5).

Same, Although opinions on "Monster" are divided, I'm among those who really liked it as a cute, fluffy, feel-good "comfort BL" with a nice use of "opposites attract" (physical and personality).

If you have some recommendations. I’m kind of going through it a little bit right now so I gone back to rewatching the ones that are cute and make me smile. 

I agree. Sometimes all I want and need on a bad day is cute fluffy feel good comfort BL like you called it and I personally don’t think there is nothing wrong with those.

Already watched Bad Buddy, Love Mechanics, Love in The Air, Between Us and A Breeze of Love more than once so they're my comfort series.

The amount of times I rewatch Love In the air for comfort is crazy. I just love those boys.

Mine are Between Us & Star in My Mind— I’ve watched those two shows sooooo many times.

I really like Between Us but I prefer Until We Meet Again as a comfort show. Which I know is weird because that show is really sad but sometimes I just want to watch something that is gonna make me cry for comfort. If it makes sense, I’m not sure if it does. But I also cried watching between us so here we are.

Last Twilight literally broke me and put me back together, so I should rewatch it. I haven’t rewatched Tinted with you in ages so these are all great recs. Thank you.

I haven’t watched most of these other than Cherry Magic and Kiseki so I have some new recs to watch.

I really like Between Us but I prefer Until We Meet Again as a comfort show. Ditto for me - although "UWMA" is a strangely balanced mix of ultra tragic sadness, adorable cuteness, and fluffy feel-good comedy, which is part of its magic. Dean and Pharm make my tears flow (basically happy tears) much more than the past events.

One of the Great Divides in this group is whether "UWMA" or "Between Us" is better (or even the best BL of all time). I'm with you: the correct answer is "UWMA"!

I have some new recs to watch. 

I personally loved all three:
"Our Dining Table" / "Bokura no Shokutaku" - hard to find anyone who doesn't like this one!
(and if you like it, don't forget to continue with the special ep. "Bokura no Kyuujitsu")
"Stay By My Side" - although not quite as universally loved, it's really cute and sweet (and not scary)
"Sugar Dog Life" - adorably cute and sweet, but no "official" international release yet

(re "Love in the Big City") I'm also feeling a certain reluctance about watching it, although I'm sure I ultimately will (when I'm in the right mood). While the reviews are great, it seems it's not BL in the usual sense but rather a drama about the harsh realities of being gay in South Korea. I'll be interested in hearing feedback from others.

Hmm, you raise a good point here. We have this strange situation with the two completely separate adaptations (movie and now series) coming out around the same time. I wasn't really considering the movie, but you raise the question: The movie also has fairly good reviews, but is it clickbait as to the gay themes? Has anyone watched it?

By "BL in the usual sense", I didn't mean guys kissing but rather the sort of idealised love story with guaranteed HEA that we usually expect from BLs. Also, if "kissed 15 guys" means that the ML is promiscuous, that's often realistic but not usually a BL thing, at least not in my mind. (As a guy, I have a lifetime of familiarity with the realities and ugly sides of the gay world, which is a big part of the appeal to me of the idealised BL world.)
