OK, I also watched today's first two episodes of "Eccentric Romance", which marks my third Thai-Korean collaboration of this year.

The first was "Love Is Like A Cat", which is my top nomination for "Worst BL of 2024" for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the incredibly sloppy, lazy, lame way in which they handled the language issue. Even for me with my low standards positive outlook, getting through the series was a struggle.

The second was "Close Friend S3: Soju Bomb", which was only tangentially BL and also misleadingly named in that it had zero connection with S1 and S2, but it was actually a pretty cute comedy which I really enjoyed. The language issue was handled reasonably well, and at least the Thai actors (cuties!) made the effort to learn some Korean.

So far, I rather like "Eccentric Romance". It's not great art, but it's cute 'n fluffy. As to the language issue, it suffers a bit from the laziness of "Cat" in terms of rationalising how other characters perfectly understand Save Saisawat speaking Thai, while he perfectly understands everyone else speaking Korean - but so far, it's not nearly as glaringly lame as "Cat", and at least Save attempts "hello" and such in Korean, which is more than Mew Suppasit in "Cat" (i.e. absolutely zero attempt to learn anything in Korean).

Anyways, aside from the language issue, I like it so far. But then again, my standards are famously low where cuties are involved, and Save (left in photo) is nothing if not a cutie.

DAY 9 - Fall Plans

I have no plans to go anywhere for now, wheeeeew!! But the wheels are turning for next year's trips...

DAY 10 - Concerts

My one and ONLY concert is STRAY KIDS!!! And it was the time of my life.

I would LOVE to see The Rose and Monsta X

 American Fan:
I just went to Addicted Heroin's MDL page and now regret it. The comments are filled with hate and trash talk.

Yes, that's predictable: all the moralisers about the age difference between the actors (August and Mac). I think they're perfectly matched - and for goodness sake, this isn't a porno!

Anyways, I'm also lovin' this series - including also the adorable and very funny side couple Only (Newyear) & Tiger/Kitty (Jur). I hope to see more of these two.

 Wrenix:

I've started Eccentric Romance. Oh lord. First Note of Love had my brain travelling asia with a side character speaking thai amongst chinese speakers. Now it's like I've gone up a level with the ML's switching between thai and korean LOL My poor brain

So it looks like it's two 15 min eps every Thursday. I can manage that. I think this one is the first show to go into my B~Side Studio section. It's short and sweet, and doesn't seem like it's going to take it's self too seriously. The language thing, as P4 mentioned, feels a little disorientating because I'm hearing one lead speak Korean, the other answer in Thai, and I'm reading english subtitles LOL It's good thing these eps are short because if I had to watch a full 30~50 minutes episodes of that, my bunny brain would be oozing out of my nose LOL

I love Tiger and Only! I hope to see a lot of them in S2.

Here's my take on the age thing regarding Mac. If one goes to his page they will see an insanely LONG list of his work for someone who is 16. He's had more roles than many BL actors, so I see that as a very mature level of experience in his line of work.  I'm just guessing, but he may also have parental permission.

I agree, Mac and August make a great couple!

I agree, I couldn't take how there was no action

I am just going to leave this quote here. Now on the business I came here on:

DAY 10 - Concerts

I have never been to a concert but if I should go to one these are the singers vocalists whose concerts I would attend:

Celine Dion

Beth Hart

Lisa Fischer

Dimash Qudaibergen

Lara Fabian

Patti Labelle

Dame Shirley Bassey

Nightwish

Cyndi Lauper

Pat Benatar

Morissette Amon

etc.

 p43425:
It's also my own all-time fave and most-rewatched BL. It gets me all teary - but actually the present-day love story even more than the tragic past. I get all choked up even just thinking of Dean reaching for the mung beans, or that moment in the classroom with Pharm in the curtain,,,

My poor heart is bursting with emotion when I see that gif. The memories come flooding back.

 axdxex:
I am so excited for Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist. TBH the pilot wasn't that interesting-- but these two match so well (MarkOhm is IT, absolute chaos) and are good actors, so I think it'll work out. Plus, the director has an impressive work history.

Same!! I do not know why but I am excited lol

 Hannah:
Classroom moment with DeanPharm scene still lives rent free my head. It’s so cute and precious

REAL!!!

I want to start it but my schedule is squeezing me in a cornor.

Also fans are saying Every You, Every Me is like La Pluie and Colour Rush mated.

 American Fan:
Love In The Air J-version Nov 3 is marked in red on my drama calendar!! This could be a good one for a GROUP WATCH!

I am still sceptic but I am interested to see the direction they take.

 American Fan:
See if I get drummed out, lol.

Those comment sections can be the wild west lol

 BabyFeatForever:

Day 10. Who have you seen in concert, and if no one, who would you like to see?

This is a collage of alot of singers and bands I have seen. I have seen more than that but I ran out of room lol XD.I have also seen Reba, Skillet, Eminem, Three Days Grace, Joan Jett, Three Doors Down, Usher, Beyoncé, Twice, Super Junior, and a few more I cannot think of right now lol.

So lucky lol

I’ve never been to a concert, it’s still on my bucket list lol

@American Fan I agree with a group watch for LITA J! It’s made for a group watch lol

Also I forgot to mention this but while I was watching Cherry Blossoms After Winter I couldn’t stop thinking about how similar TaeSeung looks like to Zee at certain angles

Random post of the day ~

I was about to call my profile theatre rabbit hole theatres and then realised that i have one wuxia, and the rest are bl's listed LMAO

I could hear my brain come to a halt with 'uhhh, child, rethink that'

It made me laugh LOL
