Is it possible BOTW rating is higher due to Tutor & Yim's fan base, not the actual content of the series?

Even setting aside my conflict of interest, and my general lack of standards where cuties are involved, I think "Love Is Like A Cat" and "Kiseki in Tokyo" were in an entirely different league of bad.

What does sometimes seem to distort average MDL ratings is the "early episode effect", i.e. people rushing to judge after the first few episodes, or even just one episode, then never finishing the series (or at least, not updating their ratings). "BOTW" started alright and got worse, while "Middleman's Love" (presumably with the Tutor/Yim fanbase effect on ratings) started as a trainwreck and got better. This would explain the divergent average MDL ratings (6.4* for "Middleman's Love").

* 7.1 for the uncut version, which one could rationalise in that the NC scenes in episodes 7 and 8 were really good.

Yay for a home day! Boo to being sick! At least you can "talk" here, lol. Rest, lots of water and tea, work, repeat. 

My rec for a great tea for colds is Traditional Medicinals Organic Herbal Cold Care.  Or this one for throats.

There's other brands with similar results. As soon as I feel smth coming I drink 3 cups a day, with some honey. It makes a huge difference! But I also drink a few autoimmune smoothies per week.  

@RXinw....sorry you aren't feeling well! I hope it's nothing too serious. @American Fan, has given you some remedies to take advantage of, hoping it works. 

If I can add my two pennies...I recommend gargling with warm salt water, drinking warm liquids (teas) honey, ginger, and lemon or peppermint or chamomile (this will help you sleep). I also recommend my favorite throat lozenges....Halls Throat Soothers in Cherry or Luden's Wild Cherry throat lozenges.

Day 1 ~ October Challenge

What are your favorite fall time activities?

I said previously that my answers to this would be incredibly boring and not worth joining in, and that's no fun. Unfortunately, plan 2 is bust as well, as I've burnt myself out to the point of crying with Wen and Rik, so they have to go and be in love somewhere else. 

So my representative for this challenge is the newest arrival in my group of imaginary friends, a silver elf, who doesn't have a name yet. 

~ Being outside in general. People tend to quiet themselves a lot more when the days get darker and colder, and I have less missions to be on. I prefer the colder temperatures and my lover hates the sunlight so it works. The colours are beautiful and I enjoy walking through the leaves. The smell of the earth is different too. It's almost comforting. Pumpkin pie is delicious and I love the smell of coffee, even though I cant drink it. The Harvest Moon is the strongest, so I often find myself in passionate positions with my boyfriend. That's fun too. 

Day 1 October Challenge: What are your favorite fall time activities  I love going to the Rennaissance Faires to compete in axe throwing, knife throwing, archery and rock climbing. I also like to watch the jousting. We get all dressed up when we go, which is a lot of fun.

Well, this was a first for me. A drama with one of the main leads in a wheelchair.

Edited to add: Just got a rollicking on the Discord server. I forgot I had watched "One Day Miracle" (Thailand, 2024). That'll teach me not to update my MDL watchlist.

This episode was insulting and I refuse to be annoyed.

On a serious note though, I do not get the hype in the comments surrounding the NC scene, like okay. I have to be into the story for the NC scene to hit this just felt insulting.
