Hello, I would like to join! As requested, I'll let my favorite quote from a book. I read it a long time ago (mid 2016, maybe) and yet this got stuck with me in a way I am not capable to explain.
"Everyone is actually called something else. Inside every person there is another person. The conversation is deceptive and behind the words there are other words. We can only be seen in the darkness. We can only be heard when there is silence." ― John Ajvide Lindqvist, Little Star (2010).
(note: I couldn't find the actual translation of this specific quote, so I translated myself, in any case, it does not change the meaning of the text)
At the moment I'm not doing any reading as I'm focused on doing drama and movie marathons and busy with other things, but my most recent readings were My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, those are a must for anybody who wants to understand a little bit about depression (or identify with the content, in my case ~laughing in despair).
Even though I'm not reading that much at the moment, I've already decided that the next book will be something lighter (I swear), I'll probably pick up a novel by Emily Henry or Ali Hazelwood, there's no shortage of romcoms in my Kindle library. :)
