I read 1q84 by Haruki Murakami. It is a  kind of slice of life novel dealing with several characters who have nothimg to do with each other but who are part of a word mysteriously changing. This is slowly paced, poetic and very touching. I really loved it. It is part of a 3 novels serie. If you like Asia, then it enlights some taboos of Japan Society. I really enjoyed it.

Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. In English translation, just released this month. The English audiobook was pretty good.
