Anyone done this before? Or are currently doing it?

It's so annoying because I'm a native English speaker, but I have a Thai passport, so apparently that disqualifies me from applying for so many jobs. Not just in Korea but Japan and Hong Kong too.

Anyone have advice? Or just any insight?

I've been teaching English in Seoul since 2011. What kind of advice/insight are you looking for exactly?

Mostly just... if it's even possible to be an English teacher there if I'm not a citizen of the US, UK, South Africa, Australia, NZ or the UK because everywhere I've looked, it says I have to be from there.

It's so frustrating because I may have a Thai passport but English is my first language and I have 2 degrees in English language/literature :(
