I'm not very optimistic because director said expect 5-6 death (I supposed from main cast)??

I also think Gong family be a winner

!! The director said so!

The deaths include jin fan, SGQ

I think they are gonna half all the cps

Btw, those 5-6 deaths have they possibli included brother and father's death too? Or is it excluding them

Looking at the first post with the charts, the cast list, and some stuff said so far, the back mountain IS running things in the Gong family.  If you notice from the cast list, there's three princes (Hua, Xue, Yue), which are also the names of the three elders.  I'm guessing the guardians (yellow, red, etc.) report directly to the elders / princes -- which is how Jin Fan knows all this stuff.  He's some sort of guardian (or failed guardian), also.  Obviously, the Back Mountain is where the Fire Weapon is held.

Now, the chart says there's a fourth elder / prince, but we've not seen anything about them.  Sheer guessing on my part, but I wonder if they didn't go rogue or something and found Wufeng and the hidden woman giving orders to the Ravens is the former fourth elder?

 Chibi:
YWS's raven literally said her sister is dead

Yes but in shows like this sometimes things are not as they appear to be. I've seen a lot of spy dramas and sometimes someone will be "dead" and suddenly show up alive again. It's not impossible. I didn't just state this out of nowhere. Plus I saw that scene where he said that.

 Enigma05:

I must have missed that one then. This was in the latest MV?

Yes, it's in the latest MV. The one I posted in the thread.

 Chibi:
'dead sister' as a 'motivation' against the Gongs, considering that this is her 'last mission'.

Also, there is not much stopping HYS, her raven from lying to her. He already told her not to trust anyone including him. Honestly, anything is possible atp.

Oh, additionally, I think you understood my initial comment wrong. I was stating that normally, even if they die, from what we now know/what they told us, their bodies (any Wufeng assassins) don't return.  The first "returned" body was her sister's. That is why I said, "dead or alive".

I went through an ultimate trailer with slow motion... there will be a lot of deadly fights and really dramatic twists in plot...
There are also some characters which we haven't seen yet - and looks like real personality of YWS will be discovered
there is also a scene when her raven is keeping sword on her neck - so she might betray Wufeng actually

I'm joining the discussion! Here are some of my ramblings:

  1.  YWS is higher in rank than SQ but is playing dumb (which is really quite smart!).
  2.  Maybe Ziyu's mom was in Wufeng. I don't know how she died. Is it possible that Lady Wuji killed her? I'm wondering if both Lady Lan and Lady Wuji were spies like our two female leads are. And Lady Wuji had to kill Ziyu's mom to keep going with her mission.
  3. YWS's raven seemed surprised when he found out that there were multiple spies going in as brides. If he's of higher rank than the shaved head guy, why was he not privy to that information? Or is it just something as simple as information is only given on a need to know basis.
  4. Clearly something is going on in the back mountain. I don't know what infinite fire exactly is, but could it be hidden back there?
  5. That eldest miss is something else. She really annoys me, but then sometimes she acts smart and she surprises me. I feel she may have a bigger part later in the show.
  6. I don't think Housekeeper Jia was in Wufeng and certainly not a Mei. I think someone else planted the token.
  7. I think Yuanzhi is going to end up dying somehow for Shangjue. Whether it's protecting him or he becomes a target due to Shangjue, I'm not sure.
  8. I hadn't considered Huanyu still being alive, but that is a very good theory I've read in this discussion. The family has so many poisons, it's not unrealistic to think that he had something that knocked him out through the funeral. Like the guy at the outpost - he had that suicide pill that made him temporarily dead.
  9. Lady Wuji is suspicious to me, especially now that they haven't shown her as much.
  10. I read comments about the 4 men being a mix of cousins and brothers. Can someone clarify? Who is each mother and father? Was the original Sword Wielder only Zuyi and Huanyu's biological father?
  11. In the first episode, what was the red book that YWS's raven told her she needed to know and she tossed it aside and said she didn't need to study it? It was written in Chinese and I didn't see it translated on iQiyi.
 Enigma05:

I get what you’re saying. I also think that SGQ may really fall for her mission. As we know the leads will fall for each other too but that one’s obvious. I hope they explore the whole raven relationship to their marks or whatever they’re called. 24 episodes only and a lot to put in. Not to mention the actual whodunnit.

Yes there are so many aspects in the drama that still and will need to unravelling.  This is what you say that when you need the drama to be longer it will be short and when you think it's too long when it could have been just a short drama.  When played properly this story could have so much potential.

It's basically written porn. Well maybe that's too much for a description, but it's about sex.

Ziyu and Huanyu are brothers. We don't know yet if biological because of the speculations around Ziyu's premature birth and his mother's alleged lover/person she loved.

This could be the case, or based on the spoilers I saw on Twitter, he could end up dying for A'yun.

It's either back there or somewhere in a trunk in the water. I forgot where I saw this, but I saw some sort of chest in the water. Not sure if I am remembering this right though.

If he's of higher rank than the shaved head guy, why w

Tbh, I wasn't sure about the ranking with HYS and HYQ. I went based on how it was listed on the chart I posted. They could be at the same rank though. Who knows.

"I think Yuanzhi is going to end up dying somehow for Shangjue. Whether it's protecting him or he becomes a target due to Shangjue, "

From trailer Shangjue died and Yuanzhi will cry hugging his body, so I hope he will be alive till the end

Another thought. What if HYQ (the shaved head guy) is YWS's brother and kidnapped her to bring her into Wufeng when she was younger? He mentioned something about when the bride married into the Gong family they would become his kin. I'm not sure what the whole thing is about, but he seems to really have something against the Gong family and it seems more than just wanting them to submit to Wufeng.

I can see that. I definitely think one of them is going to die.

Oh, thanks for the clarification!

Very very far-fetched theory. I doubt this will be the case but I am stating it here anyway.

A'yun may be contradicting her skills, i.e. letting Ziyu win against her versus beating Jin Fan, because she wants them to be suspicious of her.

But the issue is why?

1. Is she going to pull a whole "double agent" thing where she pretends to have turned a new leaf/betraying WuFeng but in the end doesn't?

2. Is she doing this so that once her identity is discovered they will lower their guards somehow and pity her? But how?

3. Is she trying to weed out the anonymous person/the other person for Wufeng?

4. If she is caught, she might get to figure out what happens to the other Wufeng spies that are caught/where are they taken/kept?

I honestly can't think of any other angle where this would be beneficial for her.

I think that the mistakes are intentional because even with ep 1 where I thought she was messing up initially, I later realized she wasn't. She was going to save the girls by aiming for GYZ, not GZY, and then as someone put it "find freedom in death". So I feel like I probably should not assume just yet that she slipped up.

But at the same time, mistakes happen so I'm torn.

Welcome! :)
