And I should mention Oguri Shun (I like him because he has the most soothing, gorgeous, calming voice, and I hope he does more voice acting in the future!)

I'm not really a fan of Japanese actors or actresses, so I only have one favorite: Yamashita Tomohisa :D

I'm sure there will be others, but really, I think it could just be him, I love the characters he picks and seeing him in the extras on DVDs talking about his role I can see how much he loves his work and is serious about it.

Hiroshi Abe- he's gt charisma and usually plays quite interesting characters and Fujiki Naohito (Buchou!) and Oda Yuji (oozes likeability and he played such nice characters in some of his series) . There are probably more that I am fond of depending on the role they played and whether I liked them in them or not but these three come off the top off my head at the moment..

Got to be Hiroshi Abe. He has such a charisma and presence that is able to change a mediocre drama into a great one. Also, he doesn't really need to say anything - just his facial expressions and body language is enough.

Of course I also have to mention Katsuhisa Namase (my avatar)! For comedy roles you can't get any better.
Others worth mentioning: Takashi Sorimachi (great in GTO, Cheap Love, Beach Boys), Junichi Okada, Takenouchi Yutaka.

To be honest I love all the Sentai actors. I haven't seen many Japanese dramas to really say these are my absolute favorites, normally I don't pick favorites at all. Some are just easier to remember than others depending on what roles they are in.
