You should Kamzie. But only 8 have aired and are subbed. I know you like to watch when the drama is either completed or close to... It will have 20 when it's complete. But it's so good girl. This thread is pretty spoilery so look out for that! I know you hate to be spoiled too. :)

When you do come back and let us know your thoughts abs. BTW...How was your Christmas Secret Garden marathon with your Mum? I'm dying to know what she thought of her first Binnie Drama!!
I'm so in love with this show and I'd lie if I didn't say watching the two love birds has me smile with pure glee up to episode 8, but I'm afraid the upcoming makjang bits are gonna jinx everything.
(highlight for spoilers)
Here are my worries so far:
- Im Jung is not Kang Chil's son despite the blood test. Makjang might make him the son of somebody dead related to the plot.
- Why Chan Gul let Kang Chil out of prison this time? Will he attempt to kill him again? What is Oh Yong-hak's motives to play with Chan Gul and Kang Chil?
- Ji Na's dad connects the dots about Kang Chil. Extra bomb: Kang Chil is dating her daughter. (it's not gonna be pretty)
- Kim Young Cheol has Ji Na's dad on his side and doesn't seem like he's ready to give up yet. Same goes for Min Hyo Sook, Kang Chil's ex girlfriend. Hopefully, PP will not fall into the cliché category and make these characters persistent (note: I really appreciated that when Hyo Sook kissed Kang Chil, Ji Na didn't miraculously passed by). Because clearly, these are no rival to our two star-crossed lovers.
- Kang Chil's mother not approving his son's relationship, because Jang Ji Na is "too good" for him. That makes her (family) the talk of the village.
- Ji Na's learns Kang Chil is 1/ part of the "reason" her mother died 2/ was in love with her mother. How will it affect her feelings for him?
- Please don't turn this into a "I hate you because of your family's doing" drama type.
and what I'm a bit WTF about:
- Kang Chil's liver cancer miraculously resorbed and doesn't need a transplantation anymore. What was the point? I don't like when kdramas treat cancer as a must-have dramatic element "just because".
- Im Jung did not connect the dots when Gook Soo tells him his father has liver cancer. Smart kid, really? I expected some kind of reaction here.
- Kang Chil's first love = Ji Na's mother. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?
- Second miracle happened a bit too early. We still have 12 episodes to go and only one chance left now!
I haven't seen Jung Woo Sung act in anything before, but he's damn good. While browsing his profile, I noticed he has much more experience in movie than drama acting, and I think that shows. The whole drama so far has a very movie-ish feeling to it, be it in the cinematography (KC and JN silhouettes running under the rain to the workshop in episode 8!), beautiful various sceneries (the port, the moonlight lake, the countryside...) or acting. The characters are rightfully measured, genuine and credible, even crazy "angel" Gook Soo!
Random, but I stumbled upon this BTS video where they celebrated Han Ji Min’s Birthday on the set at beginning of the month. It's so cute!

I started watching this and set up is right my alley. The acting leaves strong impressions and camera work is good enough to enable that. The story is looking up as very interesting. The main lead doesn;t seem to do a lot of dramas and so he's fresh - I like that. Kim Bum's looking ethreal and soft and lovely, but I did feel he looks a bit thin, poor thing. After one episode I am hooked, and this is what I love when dramas do to me.
I am hoping that it will keep up the interest all throughout but I really appreciate the freshness of the story and the way it portrays our pitiable main character. I hope it will be even more touching as the story progresses, because the set up is certainly very, very good.
And in epoisode 2 I'm seeing some stunning shots! And I"m feeling very very sorry for our main hero, just shows what we know about people, how judgmental we are and how that judgments may easily hurt others. And yet, we are so quick to hurt others.
I kind of hope it waill stay great until the end and that it won;t be one of those underlooked dramas.
I've caught on up to episode 8 by this time (not watched yet) and so far it;s a really amazing series. What I look forward to is the unfolding of all the implications..but I am worried about Lim Jung a bit. The friendship with Angel Bum lol is also smething to be worried about, since something may happen. I have some ideas where this could go...but the brothership and father-son as well as the exploration of freedom and attitudes towards a convict are at times quite powerful. Camera work and direction so far are reallyu great. I love all thise panoramic shots they have had so far as well as the more initmate ones, or sometimes even a bit surreal. it's really lovely.
By the way, does anyone know which week day it airs? I can't wait for the next episodes lol.

Nice post Bladey, you did a great job of describing your impression of the drama without spoilers :)
It airs on Mondays and Tuesdays, so new episodes today and tomorrow, but a few more days till the Eng subs are out.
Yes, blame the addiction lol
But I am sorry to hear it will be moving to a different spot. Drats, will it still be getting viewership, I wonder and worry. It feels like the drama is on the point of flopping because of that, which would be a waste of such a fantastic work done by crew members. Darn it.
I wish I had a way to tell them that I love their work on this because it is being very aprpeciated, such a non-cliched k-drama. Not too miuch, anyway. My goodness, please don't let this drama flop.

I don't think Padam Padam is being cancelled or moved Bladey. It ends in about a month because it's only 20 eps altogether and it's 1/2 over now. It's low ratings are more to do with it being a cable drama and on a new channel that just launched. Which for a cable drama it is actually doing quite well.
Unless you have some news I'm not aware of? If there is a link to an article about it being cut short or something can you post it here. but I couldn't find any news about that happening.
