LOL I think that might have been the point..so many people who wanted him dead...maybe he deserved to die :D

I was rooting for Jae Hyuk from the beginning! Haha

I agree with you. It really wasn't just about fashion. More about how people change or want more as they come into fame and money. And most of it was Ga Young going back and forth between Jae Hyuk and Young Gul.

I'm disappointed in the ending...** not just because Young Gul died but because I think they could've ended it better. It left questions. Even though I was rooting for him the whole drama, I never expected Ga Young to really go to him even at the end - every time she had a flashback it involved Young Gul and never Jae Hyuk. The chemistry between them was there, but Ga Young as a character didn't seem to show any interest for Jae Hyuk - as Young Gul was the only one she loved. So when it showed her holding hands with Jae Hyuk and happy at the end I felt it was rushed and out of place. Then the ending....I thought at first it was the guys that he owed so much money to that shot him, but after reading through this thread now I'm not sure, haha. I remember reading about a death but I had no idea how it'd be played out. I guess I kind of expected him to jump off from the building and commit suicide more than him actually getting shot by some random guy there.

But if it was Ga Young who had it set up then how did she know that Young Gul would call her precisely when he did? But her reaction....it's just all confusing. I found the ending to be really effed up, I wasn't expecting it to play out like that.

I went between hating both guys to liking Jae Hyuk by the end. *Although he could be the one that put the hit on Young Gul* I still like him. I think that he will end up unhappy with *Ga Young*. She just got on my nerves. **If she hired the hit on Young Gul** then maybe they deserve eachother. I think the reason why the writers ended it this way is *because with that phone call the cycle of this movie was about to start again and they put us all out of our misery with a bullet*. Works for me.
WTF! the ending, i'm so shocked. so many question. has anyone seen it yet?

Haha I have! I give up on it, too. There really are too many questions at the end and no way of knowing the answers unless the writers for the drama come out and announce why they ended it like that... =__=

I didn't want to see him die even if I didn't like him at the end! Haha. I think dying is too harsh, I'd of rather of seen him living miserably than not living at all

For most of the drama I was okay with both of them even though I liked Jae Hyuk more. But then the last few episodes made me really not like Young Gul. **He could very well have been behind it. But then he may not have. Who knows?** I still like him, too, although **I do agree with you on him being unhappy with Ga Young. I was so hoping for her to start liking him at the end but even being with him she doesn't love him. It added to my disappointment. Ga Young started to get on my nerves, too, because she kept switching back and forth. She'd always think of Young Gul and then go use Jae Hyuk. If she was behind the hit then maybe you're right.

And I think you have a point. For most of the drama the cycle was like that. So for one of them to die means there's no one to else to go to.

Now that I am done venting and rehashing...I think that I will forget that I ever watched this drama. It is one of the few that I have given a 1 out of 10.
WTF? I am not often a swearer, but in this case... That ending I wouldn't have minded in some dramas. But I really felt like this one didn't know where it was going or what kind of drama it wanted to be. The ending felt rushed, and at the same time I couldn't wait for it to be over. By the end there wasn't a single character I liked, which maybe was the point. But it felt like they lacked the courage to really commit to the darker side of the story, so it ended up feeling like the ending just flew out of left field. (For a minute I thought he was going to jump, and what a terrible ending that would be... I had no idea how bad it could get...) Overall, by the time I realized I wasn't going to like where it was headed (around ep 16 or so) I was past the point of no return (for which I suppose I should give them credit). I don't know, I feel like if something had been done better they could have had the same surprise ending and I would have been both totally surprised, and at the same time felt like it was the right ending. For me, it was not that drama.
I have read all these negative reviews and I have come to believe most viewers just don't get this drama. The only character in love in this drama was Je Hyuk. Anna was just looking for security. Young Gul wanted a sister, he even said she was all he had. But if he loved her he would have taken her with him , not taken the deal with Je Hyuk . He traded her for money more than once. Ga Young was always attracted Je Hyuk but afraid of his position and family. She had been taught her place by her abusive foster mother. That is the reason she kept running back to the security of Ga Young. I could tell she liked him on their trip to the coast. Ga Young was in bed crying for a month because she was betrayed. ( this also leaves you a good reason for suspecting her of the murder) By the way you are supposed to suspect everyone lol that's what makes the ending so much fun! anyway that is my take on the love stuff.
Oops *security of young gul ( messed up their names again)
I didn't dislike it because it wasn't a love story, but because I don't feel like it succeeded at being any of the things it tried to be. It was quite obvious they all had warped senses of love (and I would argue that Jae Hyuk wasn't really in love either), and I would have been disappointed with a so-called "happy ending" as well. I don't know if it was the writing or the acting, but for the most part it felt like they were just playing at being in pain. The pacing (most notably in the final episode) was terrible. There were too many characters that didn't seem to do anything to further the story. There were too many sub-plots that did nothing to further the story, and just got dropped. And yet somehow it was still rushed at the end. I love dark and screwed up, when done well... and I didn't feel like this was it. The ending would have been a perfectly appropriate ending for this drama... if the rest of the drama had been better crafted, but it wasn't and the ending just drew attention to that fact.
It is possible Je hyuk wasn't in love either..but he took a pretty nasty beating for her, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
So I hear a lot of ppl hating on the ending...honestly, I find it to be quite fitting. A happily ever after ending would have felt so out of place imo with the overall flow of the drama in the first place. Personally, the way the characters ended off flowed fine. I'm one that always enjoys the unexpected endings; however, I did see such a thing coming. Overall, the drama itself wasn't bad, but just lacked in some areas... YAI again, did a well job in portraying a character that had many layers to him.
I dropped this drama after episode 3 seeing how it ends I wish I had kept watching it cos at least the ending is a shocker oh well I now know the ending so I guess I will never pick this drama up again ......
just finished ep. 19.... the writers are hell bent on making a pathetic jerk out of Young Gul, aren't they?!...it's pissing me off...and this Ga Young, he's only giving her back what SHE told him was rightfully hers (her parents')..so why the hell wouldn't she be happy and grateful about it?!!...the writers have twisted the whole plot and made a mess out of it..they themselves are confused and in the process is confusing the rest of us too...i won't be surprised if they just kill off Young Gul in the next episode...President Jo is only reaping what she sowed yet they are making her look like a victim too...same goes with Jae Hyuk..i'm just confused and angry and disturbed with this whole drama right now..i hope Yoo Ah In chooses a better project next time with better script, writers and directors...
