After School (Korean: 애프터스쿨; Japanese: アフタースクール, AFTERSCHOOL in Japan) is a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2009. They are the first group to debut with a unique admissions and graduation concept in Korea, where members are added or withdrawn in a ?natural? manner. The band currently consists of 8 members: Park Kahi, Kim JungAh, Lee Jooyeon, Uee, Raina, Nana, Lizzy and E-Young. Former member Soyoung withdrew from the group in fall 2009 and Bekah officially graduated from the group in July 2011.

After School had their first performance alongside label mate Son Dam Bi in 2008 and their official debut occurred on January 2009 with the song "AH!". The group became popular with the release of their hit single, "Because of You", which attained No. 1 and a triple crown on SBS's Inkigayo. After School went on to win various awards at the Billboard Japan Music Awards and the Seoul Music Awards.

Other hits by After School include "Diva", "Bang!" and "Shampoo". Three members of After School have also formed a sub-group with a different concept known as Orange Caramel.

The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in 2011 under Avex Trax with a remake of their Korean hits "Bang!" and "Diva". Their debut in Japan was quite a success, as the group managed to enter the Oricon Weekly Chart at 7th.

Yay thank you ! i'm a total After school fan !
And i think they are soooo under rated ! that's what i call Entertaining Always take my breath away and give me goose bumps !
My Bias is Park Kahi she is just breath taking i mean such a charismatic woman ! just WOW sing dance choreographer and now she acts ! I'm in love with her Dream high character even if she doesn't speak much :)

Ohh! Another Playgirlz! I was really surprised that there was no official After School thread on here so I had the urge to make one. I find them a bit underrated too but they are amazing dancers.

Kahi is leaving After School…Kahi is leaving After School… I just… I just can’t believe it. Kahi has always been my bias ever since I first saw After School. From the moment I saw her dance, heard her voice, saw her stunning beauty and her charisma, I knew I was truly in love. She’s been my inspiration in everything I do and showed me that I need to continue to always chase my dreams of becoming a performer no matter if the road seems hopeless. She has been through so much with them and I always thought she would have stayed with them for a lot longer. How could this be happening though? I mean, I knew she was going to leave eventually, but it just feels like it’s too soon to see her go. It’s like going through a break up with a boyfriend, but even worse because Kahi means so much to me as well as all of After School. I never thought this day would come so soon. In the end though, I’ll always continue to support my Kahi in no matter what she decides to do and she’ll always be the strongest person as well as the most inspirational to me. I’ll continue to follow in Kahi’s footsteps in hopes of becoming like her in both her leadership, talent, and charisma. I’ll always love her and I know this isn’t the end for her! It’s only just the beginning for my beautiful Kahi as well as After School because Kahi will always continue to watch over and care for her group like children. They are all her babies and she would never truly leave them, but I know how badly Kahi wants to have more solo albums and to act, so I will respect her wishes. Kahi went through a hard seven years of her life to get to this point and now she is finally getting it, so I really know that this is what’s best for her. I will also always be a true Playgirlz and continue to support my After School even without Kahi. Kahi and After School always fighting. Love my girls with all my heart. <3
