I'm going to be looking at these at the end of season 2 so I don't get too sad over the ending and to remind myself none of this is real.

Good remedy but I think since I'm still an pessimistic person. I would just have full gremlins thought ready to shoot down even my TV :/

I have to say their relationship looks fake to me. Like, it comes off as wooden and not genuine at all. Out of all the cdramas I've watched, they're the couple with the least chemistry, like sub zero. And I think it makes sense for YZ to have chemistry with TJC and not DW since they've been friends for a while.

I was a Never Jinger from the beginning.  To be fair, however, part of that was my very frustrating personal experience dealing with an emotional manipulator like Jing, and part of it was my life long bias against too good to be true characters.

I will confess, however, when I first saw the trailer ... I wasn't that impressed by the look of Tan Jian Ci's XL.  I know! I know!  My only excuse is his face was very small in the trailers.

Me neither. Read the book so it has always been Xiang Liu. I wasn't going to watch LYF at first, since I try to avoid adaptations of books that I like - particularly since CDrama tend to make some drastic changes. And, like Kokuto, I was not impressed with TJC's pictures as Xiang Liu. He did not look like the Xiang Liu I pictured at all. But I saw a few short clips of his fighting sequence as Xiang Liu and got sucked in. And now, here I am. Writing bloody essays on this website :-)

Goes to show how important good acting is. It can make up for not looking exactly like the part. The combination of acting and costuming and we got a great XL.

This whole, "he's just kind" thing is bullshit. He doesn't have drawn and quartered his brother, but to do jack all is not kind, it's idiotic. With such a lack of survival and self-preservation instinct, once Xiang Liu is not there to rescue them, Xiao Yao will be dead if she relies on Jing.

If that leaked script is true and Left Ear isn't with them to protect them......they're definitely not going to last long. For the drama version, my headcanon is that they all died because bandits robbed and killed them on their way to Qingshui Town :)
