hello drama viewers
i have a very simple yet complex question for you guys
can you explain the way you keep track of your dramas
like i really cant keep up with mdl its way too hard for me at least....... so please suggest me

any suggesion will be helpfull......

Not sure about others, or if I understood your question correctly, but here goes nothing:

You can use the basic functions, such as: currently watching column for dramas that you are watching, the "plan to watch" list for you to save all the dramas that you maybe saw on reels and felt like they are interesting, "on hold" or "dropped".

Another feature that mdl offers are "lists". You can create various lists and set them on private or leave them public and save there various shows in any category you want (horror, comedy, lgbt, movies etc).  You can use the list option as your "plan to watch" and slowly browse them (then delete them from that list once you completed the show), or save favourite shows that you would like to watch again at some point.

Mdl is rather flexible in terms of organising your shows: you can either bunk them all together in their basic mode or spend some time and slowly create lists to organise them as you wish.

Hope this helps!

(But in case I understood the question wrong sorry)

I agree that mdl is a bit unwieldy. I started out by keeping a notebook and writing dramas in by hand. I'd list ones that I already watched with the month & year I watched them; and another list of dramas that I'd heard of that seemed interesting in some way (this list seems never-ending!) You might find it simpler just to keep a list that's easy & makes sense to you!

My paper list became too awkward so I moved over to MDL. I like it because of the summaries of story, list of actors, etc (sometimes after awhile I forget the details about what I watched so just having the title written down isn't always helpful)

I haven't found a way to sort the main MDL Watchlist by date, so I add mine to "Custom Lists" for each year. That process seems simplet & it might be easier for you.

Good luck! hope you find something workable

i know youve alr got a reponse and my recommendation is similar to the other person  but hopefully this may help?  i understand and relate i just started using mdl this year but the way i do it and find it easiest to do is by just using a notebook? u dont have to use a notebook specifically a piece of paper works too! i have a separate notbook for keeping track of the shows and movies i watch i basically have one page wit the heading shows and the next with movies and  this just repeats itself. oh and i also date them, like the date i finished this or that yk u obv dont need to do that but idk i like doing it. u can also create a separate journal for it if ur feeling it like a journal in which u write abt the shows u loved or  didnt like n stuff mini reviews, ratings add printed stickers related to the show or movie or its posters and just play around and have fun with it.  but all u really need is paper and pen it just depends on u and what u have fun with!!

will definitely try it

lmk what u think:)

For me is simple: I rate the drama and in the Advanced tab I set the date of completion.
In Forums are two challenges: Alphabet and 52 Weeks, every time I finish a drama I report it there.
Then I simply transfer that to my personal blog and there I can check what I watched.
alfatogodeqfbere.blogspot.com  - Some titles are in Spanish but the dramas are in English.
You can check and see if you can create something to your like.

Hope this helps!

What would you most like help with?

Is it keeping track of what you want to watch in the future? Or which episode you're on for the dramas you're currently watching? Something else?

I used to be a teacher so I can help you figure out something specific to your needs but it will be useful to know more.

my needs

  1. after finishing drama/movie i want to write something like in which episodes the couple got together or breakup etc.    (in major short spoilers)
  2. and i want to seperate dramas into subcategory like :
    a. dramas i completely watched
    b. dramas i watched mixed (for example i watched episode 1,5,9 of drama "when the phone rings")      ............. like watched in mixed
    c.  dramas i dropped like i got tired in some episodes or just didn't started and not in mood start now so i dropped
    d. will watch but not aired
    e. will watch but aired

so these are my requirnments and i used some methods like

  • GOOGLE SHEET :  this is good one but it takes a lot of time in seeting up and manually entering all of the names and all ; and sometimes i also double type some dramas ; there are countless problems
  • MDL : is good but i cant seperate them the way i need ; if i use custom list option then it get caotic
  • pen paper : this is a complete mess as my brother can peek at it (i can also get scolding from my parents if they discovered as they hate when i watch k or c shows).....idk why

so if you can solve these for me it will be really good

currently i am trying to use MDL
