How did Rung get access to medication that is controlled? Someone in the hospital or pharmacy would have given it to her, if we are to believe she killed Peud. I still think someone else is involved that has medical knowledge and it is obvious that it is a MAN...so....it will be interesting to see if we are all right to suspect Oat.
Totally agree.
It’s really amazing how well they’ve stuck to the novel and yet still keep us guessing at this point.
That said, I think she did kill Pued ‘directly“ (based on her car being in the scene of the crime and with her having Pued’s phone), but she and someone else still killed Jane.
I know that in the book, her prime motivation for killing Pued was that she was afraid he would snitch on the two of them killing Jane.
But so far, on the show, it doesn’t seem like they’re setting Pued up to be one of Jane’s killers. So IF they don’t make Pued one of Jane’s killers on the show, then Rungthiva’s motivation for killing him is still in question. It could still be jealousy or bitterness over his relationship with Jane, but I feel with how this show has set the narrative up, it might be something else.
And if so, then who would be Rungthiva’s accomplice? Oat is really looking like a prime candidate, even if he seemed to be having a hard time finding Pued’s records; he could just be pretending in front of Fai. He may have even been the one to hide the records. Even if Rungthiva were the mastermind and knew Pued’s disease, I doubt she would have access to all the medical records and files, so it still looks like an inside job.
And what would Rungthiva’s motivation to kill Jane? I’m sure jealousy played a part of it, but just like in the novel, I feel it wasn’t just about the relationship between Jane and Pued. I think Jane was about to be a whistleblower. Out of spite, Rungthiva might even have been the one to pimp her sister to the congressman while manipulating Pued to do so.
