I've watched a lot of BLs but I would like to watch more M/F Thai dramas. So far I've seen Past Life Present Love, Miracle of Love, and F4 Thailand.

  • I'd love an interesting plot and good chemistry between the leads.
  • I like both enemies to lovers and friends to lovers.
  • Must have a happy ending for the leads (them together and neither dead/dying).
  • I'm fine with both old and new dramas, but I'd prefer ones that are complete and not currently airing, so I can binge watch.
  • My preferred genres are fantasy or historical, but I'm willing to watch any genre as long as there's romance.
  • I'd really prefer if there isn't rape.

    Please and thank you!

Wanthong (2021) is based on the Thai epic poem "Khun Chang Khun Phaen". I've finished watching it and its good. :)

I love fantasy, but only when the leads are handsome so I really like these:

  • Enigma is a fantasy-mystery drama about a school with various incidents happened ever since the new teacher coming (but actually not) There's no romance but there's romantic feeling involved.
  • Home School is fantasy-mystery drama about a private school in the middle of nowhere. This is the first Thai drama I ever completed (try one of Mario Maurer's romance drama long time ago once and dropped it) and also the one that got me finding my first Thai BL drama, KinnPorsche. There's some romance between leads, 3 couples?
  • Midnight Museum is fantasy-mystery drama about a museum team hunting for various lost sacred antiques that's having power to control humans. It's a bromance drama but there's side couple if I'm not wrong, with little to no romance though.

As for Thai modern romance, completed some and dropped some, there's no single Thai romance drama that I haven't put on hold but I really  like these:

  • Kleun Cheewit is a complicated romance-crime drama between an unintentional murderer and the dead victim's fiancee. There's love-hate relationship, ah just remember that there's an attempted rape, but this one is very good and intense.
  • My Forever Sunshine is a twisted romance drama between an orphaned girl and the family friend's son. There's love-hate relationship, false accusation, and traumatic incident.
  • To the Moon and Back is a meaningful romance-comedy drama between a simple woman  who grew up with a queer dad and a specialist who had trauma over a strict dad. There's a lot of people with different personalities living with trauma, envy, and fear. My very first Thai rom-com.

As for historical drama, I only watch this late 1940s drama but it's 10/10:

  • My Cherie Amour is a historical romance drama between a rich confident heir and a self-sacrificing widower lawyer. There's a lot of misunderstandings, toxic but complex family members, and a lot more problems. The chemistry is amazing.
  • To The Moon and Back +1. Still one of my fav Thai dramas to date. It doesn't have that angst like a lot of Thai dramas do. Super green flag ML and such a cute and adorable romance.
  • Mr. Lipstick- this ones kind of a fun one, there aspects of it I don't like, but overall, it's good. The FL is a teacher, and the ML is the "principal" and he falls pretty quickly and tries to get her to fall for him. I love the FLs brothers in this... they make the show to be honest . They're hilarious.
  • The Sand Princess- This ones about the Fl who ends up taking care of her friends child due to the fact "he can't take responsibility.." anyways.. She ends up meeting the friend's brother and he falls for her.
  • You Are My Universe- it's been a while since I watched it, but of what I remember it had a good storyline to it along with some good romance.
  • Put Your Head on My Shoulder (Thai version) - If you've seen the Chinese one, this is pretty much the exact same, with the exception of a few things of course (as we see in every remake drama). I actually prefer some parts of this one over the Chinese version. Try it out and see if ya like it?
  • Faceless Love- Ml has face blindness and hires an assistant (the FL). She turns out to be great, but she's keeping some secrets from him... and will he ever see her face?
  • Beauty Newbie- Basically the Thai version of My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Not my absolute fav, but worth a try perhaps.
  • My Bubble Tea- I also haven't seen this one in a hot minute, but ya never know, it could be enjoyable to someone. From what I remember, I liked how the plot was different, and it for sure made me laugh.
  • Oops Mr. Superstar Hit On Me: This was a weird yet good watch?  If that makes sense? Idkkk. It's not my cup of tea but could be someone else's. I liked some aspects, but there was also some unnecessary drama... as often seen in Thai dramas. Up to you, thought I'd throw it out there. haha.

Bit darker: By darker I mean heavier, more drama, most likely in the slap kiss genre seen in Thai dramas.  So not at all like what I recommended above.

  • Leh Ratree- FL is basically sold off to the ML and his family because of her father's debt. At first the relationship between ML and FL is hateful. But ML soon begins to soften up and falls for her. (trigger warning.. I believe there is an attempted rape. It doesn't last long as she manages to get away. )  Another warning.. ( This is in the slap-kiss genre. So, there will be a few scenes with non-permissive kisses. )Compared to other Thai dramas, this one does not have near as many.  Other than that, it's got a good plotline, and the romance is great. Just watch out for the classic Thai drama that will for sure annoy you.
  • Kluen Cheewit- +1 I really enjoyed the plot on this one. As they stated above, it does have an attempted rape but it's still good.
  • Roy Leh Sanae Rai- This one is drama loaded... full of misunderstandings, hate, jealousy, lies, etc.. Don't let that deter you.. haha.  The plot in itself is great. It's a little too heavy for me, It might be for you as well if it aint your jam, but there are aspects of it I liked. Trigger warning.. ( Yes there is rape unfortunately. I always forward through, I'm not a fan of that. The ML is also very much a red flag... to the point of.. spoiler here... kidnapping her.  With all that said, this drama probably isn't for you, but again, might as well put it out here.

Forgot to mention:

  • Ngao Asoke- I haven't seen this one. You mentioned liking historical and this has been in my plan to watch list for a while, I just haven't watched it yet. Apparently a lot of people have enjoyed it. So this could also be a possibility. There isn't a whole bunch of historical Thai dramas. At least I haven't seen any...

Also maybe check out the Ugly Duckling series, and the U-Prince series. Some of them are good and fun, and some are just... no. hahaha. But there's quite a few dramas all within the same universe, just centered around different couples. So maybe give some a try if you want a nice light drama?

Oooh, so many. Thank you very much; I'll check them out!

I would recommend you to watch My forever sunshine, Game Sanaeha, Khun Mae Suam Roy, My Secret Bride and Neung Nai Suang.

1.https://mydramalist.com/48135-trab-fah-mee-tawan - Comedy plus an amazing chemistry

2.https://mydramalist.com/22066-game-sanaeha - Revenge plot but it becomes better and also a good romance.

3.https://mydramalist.com/27416-khun-mae-suam-roy - A comedy for sure, and a revenge plot. They have a fine romance

4.https://mydramalist.com/28854-kao-waan-hai-noo-pen-sai-lub - Comedy and good chemistry

5.https://mydramalist.com/13201-neung-nai-suang (2015 version)

https://mydramalist.com/10200-neung-nai-suang (2005 version)

From these two versions, I personally prefer the older one, but remake has it's way too.

As you've mentioned you dislike the dramas with rape tag, I checked thoroughly and recommend these dramas. I have watched these dramas (My watchlist).  I don't watch history/fantasy related lakorns, so sry about not suggesting any of them.

I'm currently watching Sapai Import (2015). It also looks good though.

Hope these dramas suit your taste!

Thank you very much! And I very much appreciate you checking. <3

It’s my pleasure!

I’m happy I could help. 😊 I hope you enjoy watching them!

Oh My Boss - an interesting take on a social topic that nobody really talks about.

I Need Romance - Noona romance.

Tunnel - Thai remake of same name Korean original

Flash Marriage - Thai soap (lakhorn - reminds me of the two seconds of ads I saw for the real housewives of somewhere style show).

Girl Next Room - a series of series re: college girls in a dorm. U-Prince series are similar I think.

Intern in My Heart - noona romance

Last Twilight - modern fantasy, sorta.

Duang Jai Nai Montra - modern fantasy of sorts with flashbacks to ancient times. Sorry, I don't know how this ends as I haven't finished it yet.

Tales of the Grandmaster - parallel universe of sorts? Haven't finished this one either but so far so good (with the usual frustrations). I think this one is on YT.

The Con-Heartist - haven't finished this one either as I lost where I was watching it.

Voice in the Rain - this one came before La Pluie

Love at First Hate - daft, not to bad though.

My Dear Warrior - I want to watch this one again as I have forgotten how it all goes. Something about a character from a book coming alive in our world and an adventure..?

That should keep you going for a bit. The recommendations tab on each drama page should offer more like that one.

Leh Nangfah - I quite enjoyed this one, though the FL took a little getting used to. It is fantasy and you could probably consider it enemies to lovers and also childhood friends to lovers.

Dung Duang Harurtai - I enjoyed this one too. Again, enemies to lovers vibe. It is labeled as fantasy, but I'm not sure I remember any exactly unless fictional kingdoms are considered fantasy, but I could be misremembering. Also, I have not seem the remakes, so not sure how good they are, but I'm not sure how difficult this one would be to find. I know I struggled to find two of the episodes subbed. Also, little warning about the ending if interested, it is more of a open happy end.
