ML And FL Knows Each Other But...

Any romance dramas where the female lead and the male lead knows each other but they don't know that the other knows? Like, the female lead knows the male lead and who he is but thinks that he doesn't know who she is, even though he does. Vice versa. It doesn't have to be both leads, it can be just one of them.

It doesn't have to take up the whole drama, but it can.

Where both leads know each other but they both don't know that the other lead knows them? ... Maybe What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? The ML recognizes the FL, but the FL doesn't recognize him and he knows it. When the FL comes to suspect, the ML (iirc) doesn't know for a while that she suspects. Meanwhile the FL assumes that the ML did not recognize her. I'm struggling to think of any other dramas that even remotely fits for both leads. Unless that's not what you're looking for?

Spot on! Something like What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, yes. 

Now that I think about it, it doesn't have to be both leads. It can just be one of them that thinks the other doesn't know. So if you know any like that, please share :p

  • Love O2O - The leads are aware of each other before they meet, but the FL doesn't know that the ML is aware of her.
  • The Legends - The FL has a different face / body when she meets the ML again. She recognizes the ML immediately, but pretends to be someone else who doesn't know him. The ML doesn't recognize the FL immediately, but he puts the pieces together fairly quickly and the FL doesn't realize he knows.
  • My ID Is Gangnam Beauty - The leads both recognize each other from middle school. The FL assumes the ML wouldn't recognize her (because her appearance has changed), so she's caught off guard when he asks her outright.
  • 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii - The leads are coworkers, and each is quite aware of each other at work. One of the leads is generally pretty shy / nervous while the other is the handsome and outgoing MVP of the office. The shy lead assumes the outgoing lead isn't really aware of him.

Thirty But Seventeen .. They kinda knew each other but didn't know exactly their identities.

You Are My Hero They met before. The ML found out FL's identity from the start since they met again. The FL only found out later after they got together.

Honestly, I think many K-dramas have leads who are childhood friends/crush/acquaintances. LOL. So, I'm not really which ones would really fit on the description.

You Are My Hero They met before. The ML found out FL's identity from the start since they met again. The FL only found out later after they got together.

I think I Hear Your Voice is also like that. FL saved ML when they were young. ML looked for her for a long time. After he found her, he followed her around. Only later on FL finally found out his identity.

100 Days My Prince . FL and ML met when they were children. They met again when they grew up and ML had amnesia and FL didn't know who he was. When he regained his memory, he realized FL's identity. FL found out who he was later on.

I think you also should try Thirty But Seventeen (if you haven't). They met when they were teenagers and had crush on each other. Later on, they met again and somehow FL went to live with him. Then, only some time later, they found out that the other was actually their old crush. The moment they found out about it was really sweet to me..

The point where he "starts to know" is pretty much a few moments into the first time they meet again in episode 06, as the FL does and says something that she did and said before and it makes the ML pause. Stuff like that happens a few times over the next few episodes, and there are a few other clues that help the ML put it together. In episode 08, he discusses his suspicions with an advisor. By episode 11 he knows for sure, but he doesn't use her name or acknowledge that he knows it;s her until she gets her face back in episode 30.

Oh wait I was off by an episode. Technically he says her name and acknowledges that he knows who she really is in episode 29, he just can't see her when he does it.

Can someone create a discussion or list where the FL family know each other for a long time or approve of their relationship or where the Main couple knew each other since childhood?
