Can't add gifs to article posts

I don't know if this is already reported or if it's just me, but for some reason I get an error whenever I try and add a gif to the article I'm writing. This occurs both when I use the link or just add the file from my computer. It happens too if I try to add a gif image I've used before for a different article, so I know it's not just this particular gif file causing problems.

Any ideas?

Yeah it ends with .gif, but I've used the same method before for previous articles and even tried it with a gif i used previously. Or I've tried posting the url to the gif that I uploaded onto a photo hosting account... It works for static jpg but not gif files?

That's weird.. I used gifs in all my previous articles before?

Hi I'm having same problem with inserting gif for the article i'm writing now. i have already finished writing the article but cannot insert any gif images. Please help
