Hi,

I was trying to enter the external link for a MOVIE-its TMDB link is https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/693041

The format on the external links here redirects to https://www.themoviedb.org/TV/   so no movies can actually have their TMDB page accurately entered.

At the least, it needs to be changed to just https://www.themoviedb.org/  and have what we enter be  [[ /tv/#### ]]  OR  [[ movie/#### ]]

as TMDB does not redirect to the film pages if a TV URL is entered. I realize it will mean existing ones need to be corrected, but so far it is a fairly newish feature, so... better to make it work now than after 50x more entries are on here, I think?

That said, having seen sites change their URLs for over 25 years, I have to recommend the option that tends to cause the least breakage: just copying and pasting the whole site URL for all external links. It is actually faster and definitely less error-prone [for me at least]-as in I am not likely to miss a digit when just tapping the address bar and hitting copy vs selecting a portion of it to cut from the whole. For perfect hands with zero error, there's the future-proofing detail=we are not readers of the minds of other sites' webmasters and know not how they will evolve. If any external sites change any of their link formats or add new ones, they would almost always redirect OLD URLs to the new page format, but they would have little if any reason to make a 2023 work adhere to old URL formats, so we'd have a lot of content that wouldn't fit at all if they so much as decide to, say, buy TM.DB and film #127 would just be TM.DB/128 theretoforth. I've seen too many sites with a ton of broken links because businesses evolved and trying to consistently change every other site to fit the external ones is a big PITA (but broken links are ugly-even though they are not yet on the page tabs, only the edit-external link ones).

Thanks!

Update: Someone changed the format to neither be /tv/ or /movie/ so I am marking it as resolved here and will toss the update into community tasks since current links will need to have /tv/ or /movie/ specified for shows with existing TMDB data.
