Reviews
The story was a little creepy, so I'm glad I didn't watch this at night because I am a huge scaredy cat! But, the story was well written! I never once predicted the outcome, never once guessed the suspect, and the story moved at a great pace, I never felt lost through the special and understood pretty much everything. It was great to see how Yamada Ryosuke (aka Kindaichi Hajime) deduced the case and figured out the truth. Although, that could be biased too since I'm on a detective drama kick right now!

students. The idea of a high school student solving murders looks very improbable but here it was carried off really well with Kindaichi having some nice adolescent touches while very convincing in the side of him using his powerful brain for detection. I liked the comedy touches which relieved the dark side without getting silly or ”slapstick”。Finally the story included a battle of minds between an ”evil genius” and the ”hero genius” Kindaichi which promises to continue as an interesting angle to keep us hooked in future stories [reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty in the English stories]. I will be watching other Kindaichi stories。
