  • The Good Wife

    1. The Good Wife

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

Good Wife- Subtle, understated and intense acting from the three main leads, and a legal plot that is complex yet simple to follow. Yoo Ji-tae plays a negative role in this, but God, wasn't he a tall dish with a cherry on top! Yoon Kye-sang, the ML is also a scene stealer. In fact acting-skill-wise this is one of the best dramas undoubtedly. It's an adaptation of the US Good Wife, yet the distinctive korean elements are there, making it unique in its own way. This show is for those who like intense shows with complex characters that you have to spend some thought and time to understand.  - u/links253

  • Suspicious Partner

    2. Suspicious Partner

    Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes

Suspicious Partner-  A crackling lead chemistry, and a thriller-ish legal plot, this is more of a Rom Com than an intense legal drama. Though the courtroom elements are there, and the lawyers actually discuss the cases and are shown preparing for it, you are mostly looking for the lead pair romance and the developments in it. A good watch, nonetheless. - u/links253

Suspicious partner is a really good drama about a prosecutor and his intern that work together to prove the intern’s innocence as she becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation. The investigation keeps you on your toes the whole time. The two also have an amazing chemistry that feels very much like a mature adult relationship with progressing sexual tension. I recommend a 1000%!  - u/charminggenie

  • Remember: War of the Son

    3. Remember: War of the Son

    Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes

Remember : War of the Son - This is the emotional journey of Seo Jin Woo, a young boy with hyperthymesia whose father was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Faced against powerful and rich people who can make any crime disappear with money, Jin Woo becomes a lawyer and has to use his memory and wit in order to legally bring justice to all the victims. It was thrilling, intense and oddly cathartic to see the protagonist struggle and use the law to his advantage, despite being against such powerful people who almost seemed immune to the law. I'm not a huge fan of law based dramas, but this one kept me on the edge of my seat, making me curious at every step as to how the protagonist would turn the tide against the enemy. - u/TotoroTheGreat

  • Return

    4. Return

    Korean Drama - 2018, 34 episodes

Return - A body is found on the freeway, and the four suspects are South Korea's powerful elites. Choi Ja-hye, the most influential and famous female lawyer in the country, decides to take the case and defend Kang In-ho, per the request of her law school friend Geum Na-ra. However, In-ho was having an affair with the victim and was seen having an argument with her the day before the murder took place. As Ja-hye investigates the case with Dokgo Young, a detective with a dark past as a juvenile criminal, they realize that the case is not a simple murder but was born out of corruption and dark secrets among In-ho and his friends.

It’s classed as a thriller with Lots of plot twists and unexpected reveals. I think the story shows really well how the law isn’t always on the side of morality. The actors all did FANTASTIC and the ending? chef kiss  - u/AT541

  • Touch Your Heart

    5. Touch Your Heart

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

Touch your heart is a cute and wholesome light hearted drama about a former actress that becomes a lawyer’s secretary for 3 months to prepare for a drama that she really wants to star in. The male lead (the lawyer) is a very calm and preserved man. The two leads have a good and steady relationship “progression”. It’s more comedic than dramatic. I watched it right after finishing a very dramatic kdrama so I enjoyed it a lot. - u/charminggenie

Touch Your Heart - Oh Yoon Seo (Yoo In Na) is a really famous Hallyu actress. But there is a problem she is facing these days, everybody thinks she used drugs. Now she is on hiatus. But suddenly she finds a new drama script which it's about lawyers. She thinks this is her last chance and applies. But there is one condition; she needs to work as a lawyer's asistan for one month to be ready for the drama. So she starts her job as lawyer Kwon Jung Rok (Lee Dong Wook)'s secretary. Kwon Jung Rok is a really famous and successful lawyer and he doesn't watch drama or else and he doesn't want Yoon Seo at all. Can Yoon Seo learn something from Jung Rok?

First reason i watched, after Goblin, Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook's chemistry is on top. It's smooth and fun. And the supporting characters are really good and well made. - u/ApollonNike

  • While You Were Sleeping

    6. While You Were Sleeping

    Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes

While You Were Sleeping - Nam Hong-joo (Bae Suzy) is a reporter who can see things gonna happen in future in her dreams. One day her dreams bring her to Jung Jae-chang (Lee Jong Suk) who is a prosecutor and later a police officer named Han Wook-tak (Jung Hae In). Now all the three is able to see future and they want to understand why while they try to stop infamous lawyer of criminals Lee Yoo-beom (Lee Sang Yeob).

It shows a different and interesting aspect of lawyers I think. Using both fantastic and law materials might be tiring but it wasn't. With supporting characters it was really fun. Jung Hae In and Lee Jong Suk's acting was on point. And the most important thing is the awesome breath taking bad guy acting. Lee Sang Yeop's acting was out of this world, gives you chills. My all time favorite bad guy is still him. - u/ApollonNike

  • Hyena

    7. Hyena

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

Hyena - The story follows two extremely talented lawyers from very different backgrounds. Jung Geum Ja is a third rate lawyer whose priority is to make money, no matter the means. Yoon Hee Jae is the ace lawyer of a top lawfirm, disliked by his peers for his arrogant, cold manner. When a potential case causes Geum Ja to take interest in Hee Jae, their paths cross, turning Hee Jae's life upside down and creating what is honestly some of the best on screen chemistry I've ever seen. Investigations, court room battles, great OSTs, bickering, team bonding, humor, SIZZLING chemistry, high class intrigue, this drama has it all.  - u/foxxi_paradoxxi

Hyena - Where do you draw the line for doing something for your client? Is it your fault when your client does something wrong later on?  Is the law always morally right? Personal development. The first half hour is unfortunately extremely wavy camera and fast. It is a bit better for rest of drama. - u/the-other-otter

  • Your Honor

    8. Your Honor

    Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes

Your Honor - What happens when a convict fills in for his missing twin, a reputable judge? Tons of hijinks but also some very interesting perspectives on what is law and justice and how it is administered and maintained. One really exceptional aspect of this drama is that it briefly explores the influence of traditional East Asian/Chinese/Confucian values on Korea's modern legal system and how that influence affects what law and justice is perceived as. - u.myweithisway

Your Honor - This drama is about two twin brothers, one a judge and one a convict. When the judge goes missing, the convict finds himself in the judge’s seat and begins masquerading as his brother. Things get complicated when a female lawyer on probation starts working at his office. This drama is worth watching because it’s all about addressing what the “right thing to do” in a funny way. The convict takes some wild actions as he seeks to find the truth. He is different from his brother, who was known to be a “by the books” and cold-hearted judge. The convict puts on a friendly and bold personality while acting as the judge. The bond that forms between the convict and the female lead is heartwarming and slightly heartbreaking as well as he struggles to hide his true identity. One of the best “fish out of water” dramas I’ve seen, and Yoon Shi Yoon does a great job playing dual roles.  - u/eal8

  • Diary of a Prosecutor

    9. Diary of a Prosecutor

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

Diary of a Prosecutor - For work related drama set in a prosecutor's office, this is the one for you. Follows the day to day life of a group of prosecutor's in a backwater location. A great drama to watch when you're done with all those plot twists and backstabbing and unrealistic scenarios. - u/BarefootWanderer

  • My Lawyer, Mr. Jo

    10. My Lawyer, Mr. Jo

    Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes

Not gonna lie I'm not an avid korean drama watcher, but god damn this show hooked me up the moment I set my eyes on it. 6 episode in on the first season and I fell in love with the cast.

I love the rivalry between Park Shin-Yang and Ryu Soo-Young, it reminds me so much of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney, one of my favourite video game series. - u/ItsKaZing

  • Room No. 9

    11. Room No. 9

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

Room No. 9 - A ruthless lawyer with a 100% win rate switches bodies with a death-row convict in a freak accident and gains a new perspective on the justice system as she tries to find a way to save herself. An engaging and dark thriller that highlights how the legal system is a tool of humans and can be used both for good and bad.  - u/myweithisway

  • Welcome 2 Life

    12. Welcome 2 Life

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

Welcome 2 Life A mercenary lawyer living the bachelor life wakes up one day in an alternate timeline/reality where he is now a (poor) righteous prosecutor who is married and has a daughter. As he lives this alternate version of life, he must reexamine not only his personal values in life but his views of the legal system and his place in it.  - u/myweithisway

  • Witch's Court

    13. Witch's Court

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

Witch's Court is a great law drama about prosecutors who work in the sex crimes unit. It has great insight on South Korea's legal system and culture around sex crimes, and shows this well in case vignettes. Cast is fantastic, comedy-seriousness balance just right, and the emotional climaxs are so cathartic.

The main leads are foils to each other and have great chemistry as partners/lovers/everything in between. Ma Yi Deum, our female lead, is the center though and she's everything - morally grey, calculative, takes 0 bs, fights for what's due to her, and doesn't stop to find answers. She carries the show as its compass, asked questions people were afraid to ask of themselves and I loved that you really get to know her. - u/litoxpinky

  • Suits

    14. Suits

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

A high school drop out who has a photographic memory enters a law firm as a fake lawyer.

    1. Because of Park Hyung Sik

    2. Picked up some valuable life lessons there - u/Kawaberinokanojo

  • I Hear Your Voice

    15. I Hear Your Voice

    Korean Drama - 2013, 18 episodes

I Can Hear Your Voice - a public defendant/lawyer teamed up with a guy who can read other people's minds to find justice and solve the case that they were both involved in. - u/rhnli

This was one of the very first kdramas that really got me into watching kdrama (besides Boys Over Flowers). Yes it is one of the older dramas so the quality/production isn’t that good but the main actor is Lee Jong Suk and he does a great job telling the story of his character. I Hear Your Voice is still one of my favorites. I rewatched it recently due to SIP and I still bawled my eyes out. The OST is pretty good imo as well. There’s a lot of suspense, action, and just a tad bit of love/conflict. It’s a cute drama to watch but will still pull on your heartstrings. Lee Jong Suk is also one of my top favorite actors and this is one of his earlier works that really got me into watching all of his shows/movies :)  - u/kkmkobe

I Hear Your Voice - Not that there aren't beaucoup courtroom scenes in this heart-rending, transportingly sweet romance. But the legal battles are all about the romantic leads' crime solving collaboration and the female leads' frenemy smackdown. The fact that the male lead has telepathy takes the drama even further out of legal land. So if you're looking for a true representative of the legal genre, well, this is a makjang romantic dramedy. However, the female lead and the second male lead are public defenders, and there's a ton of perceptivity about the challenges defenders face advocating for clients, whether guilty or not guilty. Kudos to the workplace comedy gold in the public defenders' office. And I am blown away by this drama's amazing writing, every heart-in-my-throat rewatch. - u/amnesiafakedating

  • Lawless Lawyer

    16. Lawless Lawyer

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

Lawless Lawyer - The ML, raised by gangsters, becomes a lawyer who cleverly exploits legal loopholes inside the courtroom and bends the law outside the courtroom. He teams up with the FL, a lawyer who cares deeply about justice, to seek revenge against a cabal of corrupt officials, prosecutors, and judges. This drama was extremely exciting and action-packed with lots of fun fight scenes, zany energy, and interesting villains! - u/craftsycandymonster

Lawless Lawyer is my favorite law drama. Each character is so well written. It’s actioned packed and I was kept on the edge of my seat the whole time. This was the drama that introduced me to Lee Joon Gi and he rarely disappoints. - u/queso29

  • Confession

    17. Confession

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

Confession - A man who believes his father was framed for murder becomes a defense lawyer, taking on multiple cases that showcase fairly realistic/plausible courtroom scenes and legal procedures. On the side, he also re-investigates his father's case, trying to uncover the truth behind a tangled web of corruption and secrets. The protagonists had excellent relationships and communication with each other, and the drama moved at a steady, gripping pace! - u/craftsycandymonster

  • Law School

    18. Law School

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Law School is a drama that focuses on finding the murderer of a professor in a law school. This drama is unique since the premise is at a law school and focuses on the life of law students and their professors.  - u/dramafan1

  • Vincenzo

    19. Vincenzo

    Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes

Vincenzo - The ML and FL are both lawyers and fight against corruption to get justice for someone close to them. They both have their own principles and they follow those. This drama was somewhat different from the usual kdramas in the sense that it wasn’t your typical “let’s fight against corruption drama”. The ML had unethical principles but that only did good and were apt according to the corrupt villains. The acting, plot, direction and cinematography were all on point. It’s a decent drama. - u/Fatooz

  • City Hunter

    20. City Hunter

    Korean Drama - 2011, 20 episodes

City Hunter - The SML is a prosecutor and he wants to uncover the truth. This truth goes back to when a bunch of corrupt politicians unfairly tried to kill people they sent on a secret mission and when one of those who survived used another person’s child to get revenge. The ML was trained to fight these corrupt politicians and his ethical revenge tactics lead the SML to get into this case deeply. It’s an awesome action thriller which is 10 years old but it was good for its time. A few things are problematic but apart from that I loved the story, action, acting and the characters. This is not “just another Lee Min-Ho drama” and he actually does full justice to his role. - u/Fatooz

  • Taxi Driver

    21. Taxi Driver

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Taxi Driver (2021) - The ML and his team (Rainbow Five) basically take revenge on those criminals whom the law can't give a sentence that the criminals deserve. The FL is a prosecutor and there's quite a lot going around that is related to the laws and justice. One of the best action/revenge dramas I've watched in a long time with top tier acting by pretty much all actors. A drama that deals with some important issues and also showcases great team work. Brutal yet wholesome. - u/Fatooz

  • Sandglass

    22. Sandglass

    Korean Drama - 1995, 24 episodes

Sandglass -Law is not first subject here, but one of the three main characters is lawyer, and we get to see the inevitability of the law, and the dilemma of following the law or supporting your friend. A very strong ending.  - u/the-other-otter

  • The Fiery Priest

    23. The Fiery Priest

    Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes

The Fiery Priest - Corruption and comedy. Lots of fights. How can a lawyer go against her boss? When is the law not enough?  - u/the-other-otter

  • Stranger

    24. Stranger

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

Stranger (Forrest of Secrets) - Stranger is an intense and gripping crime thriller with a plot that hooks you in from the very first episode and doesn't let up until the last. Follows both a prosecutor who has a condition that makes it difficult for him to understand emotions and feel empathy (Cho Seung Woo) and a plucky cop (Bae Doona) who struggle to fight corruption in the legal system and solve the crime. No romance between the lead characters but tons of chemistry that makes watching them become allies and friends the best part of the show.  - u/Silly_Merricat
