ALL the GLs I've watched
This a complete list of all the GL films and series I have watched. I am including a brief synopsis and a more elaborate review (skip these if you don't want spoilers). Brief synopses are written by me, meaning it is what I understood from the plot. So, it might not be that accurate, or helpful for that matter. PLEASE REMEMBER, DIFFERENT PEOPLE CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS! That being said, if you have any recommendations for me, list them below in the comments, I have probably seen them, but still, always welcome. :)

1. Who'll Stop the Rain
Taiwanese Movie - 2023
Brief synopsis: Taiwan was just released from martial law, meaning citizens were allowed to demonstrate again. A female art student joins a protest at her school to rebel against the board who decide grades and have been doing so unfairly. She makes new friends with the leader of the protest group and, more importantly, his girlfriend. Movie focuses on the conflict at school with the love story being second.
Taiwanese. 1h 54 m! <- if not this, it’s a censored version with parts cut out. Tension and love story are well done, the rest of the story was good enough to fully watch but not the most interesting. Points for having English subs standardly. VERY underrated! I have watched this many times and still love it. It is pretty artsy, but i really love the leads and their relationship. 8.8/10 -
2. No Heaven, but Love.
Korean Movie - 2023
Brief synopsis: main girl is an athlete at school (taekwondo) but isn’t doing very well so she gets bullied by her teammates. She meets Yeji at a fast-food place and they become friendly after Yeji helps her with the bullies. Main girl’s mom takes people in for some reason, so Yeji starts living with them. They fall in love. Taekwondo coach is an evil man. A LOT of bad things happen.
Korean. 1h 52m. Really liked the main couple together but there just wasn’t enough love and too much violence. Also, I felt really sorry for Yeji at the end. She just was so sweet. Ugh! I’m in love with Lee Yoo-mi. Acting was well done and the movie was really good with the small budget they apparently had. Story is intriguing but I would have loved a deeper look into the romance. It was kind of overshadowed by all the drama and violence in the rest of the movie. 7.5/10

3. Ride or Die
Japanese Movie - 2021
Brief synopsis: Lesbian girl kills husband of the girl she’s been obsessed with since forever because he was abusing her. Don’t ask me why but prepare for a pretty revealing sex scene between the husband and the lesbian… Rest of the film is the lesbian and the girl she obsesses over running away together. But wait! Another sex scene between the lesbian and a random man is needed in the story for some reason? Yes, the ‘straight’ woman has more sex scenes with women (1) than with men (0) and the lesbian has more sex scenes with men (2!) than with women (1). Were any of her hetero sex scenes necessary for the story though? I hear you ask… No! they had (especially the second one) no relevance to the rest of the story at all! Yay! :)
Japanese. 2h 22m. This movie was interestingly shot using very long scenes which made it feel like you were in the room with them. I liked the last 15 minutes more than the rest of the whole film. Especially at the beginning it felt like their relationship was kind of predatory and mostly transactional. Also, I felt like there was too much nudity, and stop making me watch the lesbian have sex with men! I hate that. I thought the movie was well acted and emotionality was well shown. I probably wouldn’t watch it a second time, but on its own it’s a pretty solid movie. Felt a little too catered to the male gaze though. I gave it a decent score because it genuinly is a movie worth watching, the acting, filming, story, and romance are all very interesting, I would just maybe skip certain parts... 6.8/10

4. The Dream Songs
Korean Movie - 2022
Brief synopsis*: girl dreamt about her friend dying so she tries to make her go on the school trip to Jeju island with her. But they fight and make up a bunch of times in the process. I love them.
Korean. 1h 58m. I really like how (especially repressed) emotions were conveyed in this movie. The relationship is really cute and their chemistry is great too. The movie is funny and cute but keeps this kind of ominous feeling. I feel like some of the scenes dragged on a bit too long or were just unnecessary. I also feel like I missed a lot of the symbolism. Like I noticed there was something I was supposed to be getting but I just wasn’t getting it. This movie is absolutely heartbreaking if you know what it was based off of and I cried :(. Obviously. I didn’t know the whole backstory but just the thought of it made me tear up. Really bittersweet. I felt like the acting was done really well and the movie was shot beautifully, and artsy. 7.8/10

5. A Bride for Rip Van Winkle
Japanese Movie - 2016
Brief synopsis: I honestly don’t even know where to start with explaining. Woman (really sweet) is betrayed by her husband and has to find a job. So, she does odd part time jobs that are given to her by this random man. These jobs connect her to a woman who she eventually has a thing with, and it is really sweet and really sad. And I love the main character even though she is really naïve. She is a sweet little lady and is also gorgeous btw. But there is so much surrounding this story that is either not worth telling, too sad to tell or just plain impossible to explain.
Japanese. 2h 59m. Although this is a very long movie (you can choose to watch a shorter version) it never bored me. I liked the latter part of the film more then the former. Even though I do feel like the story was lacking in some ways (by leaving some unanswered questions) I feel like the acting really sold it. The main character was naïve, but never annoying in my eyes, I quite love her actually. It was definitely an interesting watch and though I will probably not watch it again, I am glad to have seen it. 7.7/10

6. The Handmaiden
Korean Movie - 2016
Brief synopsis: Sookhee goes to work as a handmaiden for lady Hideko. Hideko and her uncle live in a mansion and pretend to be Japanese aristocrats. It’s the 1930’s in Korea. Sookhee is secretly planning on conning Hideko and stealing her family’s money along with some guy. She has to convince Hideko to elope with this guy, so they can steal her family fortune. But who expected this, Sookhee and Hideko actually fall in love. A lot of deception and plot twists happen.
Korean. 2 h 48m. If you haven't watched this one, please do yourself a favor and do watch it. It's a little cute, a lot of tension and some weird and explicit moments/scenes. Take time to watch it. I really liked the cinematography in this movie. As a watcher a lot of things are only made clear by seeing different perspectives of the same scenes. It’s most fun the first time you watch it. I really enjoyed the love story. Though there are some things in the movie that I rather not have seen. It is done incredibly professionally and all the set designs and wardrobe fit really well and makes the movie great. 9/10
-
7. She Makes My Heart Flutter
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
Brief synopsis: Gay niece doesn’t have any money so she starts working at her gay aunt’s café/bar. Gay niece notices gay aunt has no money and no girls. So, she tries to help. Gay aunt isn’t happy. Gay niece also has really funny friends.
Korean. 1h 6m. Every time I watch this it surprises me with how much I like it. A funny but cute story with enjoyable characters. 7.9/10
-
8. Unlock Your Heart
Japanese Movie - 2021
Brief synopsis: mentally unstable girl has a crush on a boy but finds out this boy already has a secret girlfriend. So naturally mentally unstable girl decides the best plan is to try and steal his girlfriend. (?) The girlfriend is really sweet and innocent though. Eventually they get together even though she still loves her boyfriend very dearly. The boyfriend is kind of a weird dude and I don’t really know anything about him. Mentally unstable girl is definitely mentally unstable, but also kind of sweet (?). idk. Maybe not.
Japanese. 2h 1m. I thought the story wasn’t horrible but definitely not as satisfying as I imagined. Just felt bad for one of the girls almost the whole time. I didn’t like the straight story line. Honestly, it’s an okay watch. If you’re as desperate as I am for queer media, it won’t hurt your feelings too bad. The ending is fine. 7.1/10
-
9. Our Love Story
Korean Movie - 2016
Brief synopsis: An art student is working on her final project. She meets a girl. They fall in love. She neglects her project. Lots of problems arise in their relationship.
Korean. 1h 38m. this movie is kind of a roller coaster. You see them fall in love and though you don’t see them break up, you see them grow apart, which may be worse than a clean break. I don’t really know how to feel about them. Quite sad, a little melancholic maybe. Really annoyed by the main girl’s fashion choices and friends, like why does she sleep in her (ugly) jeans??? I liked the love story but obviously didn’t really enjoy the ending due to its nature. Story is well told though. It is worth it in my opinion. 7.4/10
-
10. Moon Young
Korean Movie - 2015
Brief synopsis: Kim tae-ri is mute and lives in an apartment with her drunk dad. She meets a woman who kind of acts as her escape, and tries to help her find her mother.
Korean. 1h 4m. This film really just showed me how much I love Kim Tae-ri. As she plays a mute girl in the movie, it really shows how well she can act. While I do think the story was interesting, I felt as though it lacked a little in explanation, especially near the end. Also, I don’t really know how wlw you can call this movie, it is definitely more than heavily implied that the second character is queer, there is not really a romance. 7/10
-
11. The First Girl I Loved
Hong Kong Movie - 2021
Brief synopsis: Two girls who are in love with each other but can’t be in love with each other. Because they live in a country where that is not accepted. And it is so sad.
Hong Kong. 1h 34m. A beautifully sad movie. 7.3/10
-
12. I Am Devil
Thai Drama - 2024, 7 episodes
Brief synopsis: I think a girl is in love with her brother’s girlfriend? Honestly, I barely remember anything from the plot. There is a lot of slapping other people for some reason.
Thai. 2s, 11e. After watching it for a couple of episode I skipped through most of the plot, but what I saw wasn’t horrible. Love story was okay. 6.4/10
-
13. Friendly Rivalry
Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
Brief synopsis: Seulgi is an orphaned girl who learned she is only accepted as normal at school if she studies hard and does well. She transfers to a school in Seoul to find her (dead) dad and meets top student Yoo Jae-Yi. Jae-yi is sweet to her but seems to be using her to get her own answers. While trying to find out their mysteries together Seulgi and Jae-yi grow closer. Seulgi is very sweet and naïve, but smart in the moments she has to be. Jae-yi seems cold and cunning, but more hides beneath the surface… They (definitely!) fall in love.
Korean. 1s, 16e. I really liked this show. It’s definitely not a straightforward gl. It is very Korean in that way, many hidden things and moments to show their love for one another instead of a lot of physical touch and such. I’m in love with Hyeri. I also enjoyed the storyline of the rest of the show. A lot of mystery, reveals, misunderstandings, back stabbings and such. I got a little tired of all the twists and turns at times, but the story still turned out well. Definitely a roller coaster ride. 8.7/10
-
14. Pluto
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: Aioon is asked by her twin sister Oaboom to break up with her (Oaboom’s) girlfriend. Aioon does this without question of course and meets the girlfriend: May. May has gone blind after an accident. Aioon falls in love with her.
Thai. 1s, 12e. Questionable plot but honestly one of the better Thai gls. Really liked the main couple, they had good chemistry. Side story was cute too. Also, I am I love with Film. 7.6/10
-
15. Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Joshi wa Watashi no Moto Kano
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Itsuki works at like a game company or something. This said company is making a game adaptation with some Chinese company. The representative of the Chinese company is Itsuki’s ex-girlfriend and now her boss…
Japanese. 2s, 16e total. Plot and chemistry were pretty good. Just felt like their conflict was fixed too easily. Have not watched season 2 because I cannot seem to find the last episode of the first season. I did like the couple and enjoyed watching. 7.5/10
Update: after watching the entire series I’ll stick with my rating. The second season was a little less fun in my opinion but still pretty good. My criticism stays the same though, conflict keep getting resolved too easily. Kind of unrealistically easy. I am in love with Fuyu. -
16. The Secret of Us
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Dr. Fahlada and actress Earn used to date when they met each other abroad. They broke up however and Fahlada never really got over it as she was hurt pretty badly. When they meet again Earn really tries to make up and get back together with her. While it isn’t smooth sailing at first, they do get back together when Earn’s trust is regained. Fahlada’s mother is a homophobic witch and I hate her. Ugly ass hoe. Stay away from those sweet girls. :’(
Thai. 1s, 8e. Pretty good love story, rest of the story wasn’t bad but also not THAT good. Good chemistry between actresses. One of my favorite Thai gls. 7.3/10
-
17. Call Me by No-Name
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: girl helps out a strange girl and has her sleep over. Girl she helped tries to sleep with her. First girl is very shocked and wants to become friends. They make a bet where they fake date and while they’re dating the first girl has to guess her name, if she can do so they can become friends. It has pretty dark themes though, don’t let this recap scare you off.
Japanese. 1s, 8e. Although I enjoyed watching this show I felt as though the plot was pretty vague and at times overly dramatic. I liked the lead and enjoyed the chemistry/couple. Also, it was beautifully shot. Maybe I just didn’t understand it well enough because I was pretty lost at times. I did enjoy the chemistry between the leads. 7.1/10
-
18. Affair
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Pleng and Wan have been friends since they were kids. They don’t see each other for over a decade but find a connection again and wan tries really hard to get with Pleng. Pleng is very reluctant and does not want to start a relationship with Wan, who is married (but trying to get a divorce). Wan stays persistent. Eventually they get together. NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER GIVE UP. (please don’t sexually assault people and borderline rape them irl, even if you are sure they actually want it)
Thai. 1s, 8e. I never really like the time skips but seeing them as childhood friend was pretty cute and added to the later story. Couple has great chemistry and some scenes really emphasize this. Plot was fine, just a lot of drama. 7.5/10
-
19. Show Me Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 9 episodes
Brief synopsis: Some women join a miss competition. Two of the contestants fall in love. Also, some people try sabotaging the competition.
Thai. 1s, 8e. I was honestly very intrigued by this series because it features a couple I knew before watching Thai gls (englot). This series kind of disappointed me though. Felt as though their chemistry in real life is way better than the series. The rest of the story was pretty boring too in my opinion. 6.1/10
-
20. Petrichor: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
Brief synopsis*: Engfa is a detective and Charlotte is a morgue person(?), and they work on a case together that turns out to be closer to both of them then was known in the beginning…
Thai. 1s, 10e. another show featuring Englot. This show was done way better in my opinion. One of the only gls that I felt resembled an actual show. More of a mystery/drama with romance on the side. Chemistry was way better than show me love and the side couple was cute too. Also, a fun little plot twist is always enjoyable. 7/10
-
21. Mate
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: Okay, so, Aoey and Genlong know each other from the time they were both children but meet each other again now that they have grown up. Aoey is absolutely down bad for Genlong and desperately wants to get together with her. Genlong is disgusted by the idea of her being in a relationship with a woman for some reason, but as time goes by they do get closer. Mostly because they’re living in the same house and Aoey is mentally ill and keeps having extreme breakdowns, so Gen needs to care for her. Eventually they get together, but they have to break up and after a time skip the fun part starts.
Thai. 1s, 12e. guys. What. First of all. I’m sorry but the story is SO boring. Their romance is pretty okay (except for the bondage) until the time skip. I don’t really know what went through the script writers head. Hey, let’s have the sexually abused girl sexually abuse the other girl. Also, I get cringed out by the mental breakdown as they seem so dramatic and so far away from reality. The actresses did do pretty well, I just feel like the script didn’t do them a lot of justice. 5/10
-
22. GAP
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: So, Mon is kind of a stalker and really loves this one CEO for some reason, so she starts working for this CEO and they fall in love. But Sam is really bad at showing her emotions, so their relationship takes a while to fully flesh out.
Thai. 1s, 12e. Even though I don’t really like these types of shows it was fun going back to where the Thai gls kind of started. At least where I started with thai gls. Although the type of humor this show has doesn’t usually strike my funny bone there are some things that I could laugh about (like Freen’s character) and the love story itself was decent. I didn’t like how the idolization kind of lead the love story and I think the age-gap was unnecessary. 6.4/10
-
23. Blank
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Brief synopsis*: Arneung is a student who decides she wants extra lessons for art so she takes a tutor, Neung. Arneung is absolutely head over heels for Neung and Neung us 16 years older. For some reason Neung decides it would actually be a good idea to start a relationship with this girl. As a viewer you find out that Neung actually had a crush on Arneungs mom, and when she got pregnant Neung tried to convince her to remove the baby. Neung also has some kind of relational connection to Arneungs dad, which I sont remember. Arneungs mother even gave her the name Arneung to spite Neung because they sound similar (?). Whatever, whatever, obviously the best love story.
Thai. 2s, 12e total. First things first. This is a love story between a 20/21-year-old girl and a 36-year-old woman. It gets worse though. The younger woman acts like a literal child most of the time, unless they want you to see her sexually. Even though FayeYoko’s chemistry is great on and off screen I can’t help but be grossed out watching this show. Especially because they made the younger girl pursue the older woman first, kind of “making it her own fault”. And there are a lot of weird family ties between them. I’m honestly not going to give this show a grade. If you still want to watch it after this description, you do you. -/10
-
24. Fragrance of the First Flower
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Brief synopsis: In the first season you follow Ting Ting and Yi Ming as they reconnect after not seeing each other for years. They had a kind of ambiguous relationship in school where they never officially got together but they definitely had feelings for each other. In the time they haven’t seen each other Yi Ming has gotten married and she has a son. Ting Ting, however, is still really in love with her and it seems Yi Ming hasn’t gotten rid of her feelings entirely either. Yi Ming cheats on her husband with Ting Ting and confesses to him shortly after. Yi Ming and Ting Ting’s problems are still not fully resolved and they decide it’s not good for them to stay together. In the second season they meet up after some time again. Yi Ming has gotten divorced from her husband and Ting Ting is rocking a new haircut, so she and Ting Ting do decide to try and actually date. They do have a lot of trouble communicating so it doesn’t go as smoothly as hoped.
Taiwanese. 2s, 18e total. Good show telling a good story. I liked the second season more, but it is important to watch the first (which was also not bad at all btw). Was screaming for them to just talk to each other. You know it’s bad when you don’t mind if one of the leads gets in a different relationship. Acting was done well and really made me feel. Happy with how the conflicts were resolved in the end. A good show for a realistic story and a view on bad communication. 8/10
-
25. Couple of Mirrors
Chinese Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: You Yi is a (gorgeous) woman living a grand life as a writer and socialite with her husband in the early 20th century in China, when it turns out her husband is a scumbag. Now she is pregnant, with no place to go, she ends up with a woman who has helped her before, Yan Wei. Yan Wei (also gorgeous) is a photographer with a dark past, a cold personality and a secret identity.
Chinese. 1s, 12e. I haven’t watched a show that’s not a Thai gl for a while, so it’s nice to see something with a plot again. Even though there were a bit too many twists and turns for my liking, I still really enjoyed watching it. It is definitely not a very straightforward gl though, as it is Chinese and censored. I am excited for a second season. Their chemistry was good and I really liked the acting. The setting and clothing were also cool to see. Don’t watch this show expecting some grand love story though, it’s cute just watching their dynamic. I am in love with Zhang Nan <3. 8.1/10
-
26. Otona ni Natte mo
Japanese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: Lady kisses another lady when she is drunk and starts rethinking her entire life.
Japanese. 1s, 12e. The couple’s chemistry is okay, but the story was just pretty boring. They made the whole show following a single kiss. The self-discovery was nice to see but the love story wasn’t really worth it in my opinion. 6.7/10
-
27. Denied Love (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Brief synopsis: Rin and Khem get married through an arranged marriage and they have, even though Rin refuses a lot of times, a lot of sex. Rin is not really in the mood to start a real relationship as she is still hung up on her ex. Khem does not quit trying. Until she does… (dramatic)
Thai. 1s, 10e. I thought this show did the ‘age-gap’ trope way better than blank. I did think some of the ‘funny’ moments were rather cringy. I really liked June’s acting (especially in episode 9). Though the story was lacking in some ways I did enjoy this show. One thing that could be improved in their relationship in my opinion was more domesticity (although we did get more of that in episode 10, I still thought there was kind of a disbalance on that ground). Also, I’m in love with June. 7.2/10
-
28. Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko!
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Ayaka is in love with Hiroko (hihi). Ayaka and Hiroko work together and Hiroko used to mentor Ayaka. Ayaka catches feelings for Hiroko and decides she wants to win her over. But it doesn’t matter how hard she tries Hiroko never seems to notice her. Hiroko definitely does notice her, but doesn’t think Ayaka could ever be in love with a woman, let alone with her. They keep going past each other until eventually they realize what is going on between them.
Japanese. 2s, 14e total. I liked this show more than I thought I would. It isn’t really my style, it’s a bit too fluffy and immature in my opinion. But I actually thought it was kind of funny. I expected to cringe way more than I did. I’m honestly mostly just rooting for my girl Risa. Though I would probably not watch it again, it was still a satisfying watch. 6.8/10
-
29. Us
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Brief Synopsis: Dokrak is in love with Pam but is also playing matchmaker for her brother and Pam. She makes drawings and gives them to Pam but tells her they’re from her brother. After a while though, Pam finds out that Dokrak is the real one making these drawings for her.
Thai. 1s, 12e. Once again, I thought this show was a little too soft. I would have liked, and expected, a little more drama in the show. I really like their intimate moments, but dislike how it is filmed. Everything is just a little too soft for me. Like how almost all the kisses and love scenes were in slow motion. I really do enjoy this ship though, so I would love to see an Emibonnie show with some more drama and tension as I do really love their pairing. Also, I am in love with Bonnie. 7/10
-
30. Whale Store xoxo
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Brief synopsis: Wan quits her job at a respectable company when her father dies to take over his supermarket. Back in her small town she makes friends with all the local lesbians including Maewnam, who is a kind of handy woman (?) but also a college professor. She just really does anything for anybody that needs anything. Maewnam teaches Wan the lessons of the small town and tries to make Wan’s supermarket successful. Wan has a cute cat. And also, the small-town gets a visit from Maewnam’s parents, AKA the owners of mouse mart, a supermarket chain that threatens to mess up all the progress Wan and Maewnam have made with the store. How will the store keep existing?
Thai. 1s, 10e. I did like this show, more than 23.5, but I just think Milk is such a loser in both series. And yes, I am in love with Love, so I might be biased, but I just feel like their chemistry would deliver so much better if there wasn’t such a difference in the coolness of their characters, and in 23.5 it felt more logical to me that she was a loser (?). I did think the story could have a little more things happening, but I really liked JuneMewnichs story. Also, I really hoped JingJing and Piploy became a thing, but now I’m just rooting for them to get their own series. 7/10
-
31. The Loyal Pin: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
Brief synopsis: Anin is a noble lady and Pin is one of her handmaidens but they have also been close since they were kids. Anin goes away to study in England while Pin drowns in loneliness, until she gets engaged to marry a godawful man. Anin comes back and teaches Pin about French kissing.
Thai. 1s, 16e. It was interesting to see Becky have the lead in their relationship, unlike in Gap. I thought the tension was really good and I enjoyed their intimacy. I also liked the friendship between Anin and Prik and the set design and production value were really good. Though I didn’t love the story itself, it was still a fun and satisfying watch. 6.7/10
-
32. Harmony Secret
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Maewika is the daughter of a businessman and therefore the heir to a business empire. Her first real project is a bidding where she has to compete with another young woman, Aiwarin. Aiwarin is also the daughter of a businessman, but she already has more experience. Aiwarin starts pursuing Maewika romantically and while, at first, her feelings aren’t reciprocated, they start growing closer. But the pressure of the bidding they are both competing in is also increasing as it is an important project for both of them.
Thai. 1s, 8e. I was really excited for this series because of the pilot and even though I did enjoy it, I did have higher hopes for the story line. In the first place, I think more use could have been made of the hostile environment between the two leads. I also feel like the LM was in love since they first met like 13 years ago once trope is a bit weak. And though I did like the story I feel like it could be more dramatized, or more clearly a struggle between choosing love or business. I did think LMSY did really well and their chemistry is really good. There were some awkward moments in the editing, like LM not being able to wipe the bug off of her bed for like 5 attempts. I also have to say I liked the side couple and am excited to see more of them, because I didn’t love Belle’s character in this series. 7.4/10
-
33. Only You
Thai Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
Brief synopsis: Ayla and Tawan meet each other when Tawan protects Ayla from bullies. Ayla is immediately in love with her and decides to join the same club that Tawan is in. After being down bad for Tawan for a while, she suddenly disappears. Ayla is very sad but life goes on. Ayla becomes a famous idol and when she starts getting death threats, she knows exactly where to look for a bodyguard. She somehow gets Tawan (the CEO of the company) to be her personal bodyguard. With them close together again Ayla starts trying to get together with Tawan as her feelings have not gone anywhere in the decade they didn’t see each other. But Tawan is hesitant…
Thai. 1s, 14e. This series was not one I expected to drop, but I did. I was really excited for this, also because of LingOrm. But I felt like the story was kind of childish at times. I did think it was funny and I also liked LingOrm chemistry, but for some reason the fuckass director made all their fuckass kisses awful, so all the drama leads to a kiss I couldn’t even watch without cringing. I have to be honest and say, maybe, when we’re back in a gl drought I will try to give this series a second chance. But right now, with so many better series coming out, I am just not satisfied by this one. 6.4/10
-
34. Queendom (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: Rey and Print have been rivals their entire lives. When they were in school together, they used to compete in the same contests. Once again, they end up together in a project and all past feelings of rivalry come rushing back, causing them to have trouble working together. But they learn to live with each other when they switch bodies. More than that, they learn more about each other and become closer than they have ever been before.
Thai. 1s, 12e. The pilot of this show already made me super excited for this show to come out and, unlike harmony secret and only you, this show actually exceeded my expectations. I genuinely believe this is one of, if not, the best Thai gl that is currently out there. Cause not only do Pam and Arhoung themselves have great chemistry; the show sets up the tension really well. And not only was the main couple treated by a good story, the side couple too. Also, I am in love with Pam. Even though I do feel like the premise of the story could have been a little better, I still feel like it was better than I expected it would be. I was (not so patiently) waiting for the episodes every week, full of anticipation, but was somehow never disappointed. Also, the actresses did really well, and the production value felt way better than a lot of other thai gls. 8.4/10

35. Dangerous Queen
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: honestly, I really have no clue at all. Something about a mom with gambling debt and a daughter name Bonita, and the bonita has a best friend who goes on random killing sprees. Queen is for some reason in love with bonita/bo/babe/bie but is also hated on by this stupid guy. And there is a homophobic mother.
Thai. 1s, 8e. I honestly don’t really have any compliments to give this show, except for the fact that it is, indeed a show, that is finished, and that I can watch. The story was not clear, the acting could have been much better, the general quality of the show was not great. Queen was the only one who’s acting I could stand, and the character of Sam was kind of funny. But overall, one of the worst gl’s ive ever watched, and that honestly says a lot. Usually, I dislike shows because of their controversial nature or tropes that I generally dislike, this show didn’t really even have a trope, I was just confused most of the time. 2.2/10

36. Poisonous Love
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Brief synopsis: Pat is an actress in love with her bestfriend and manager/agent called Nam, nam falls pregnant though. When Pat finds out that the man who impregnated Nam is getting married, she decides to intervene. Pat meets Prem, the soon to be wife, and breaks the news on her wedding day. Prem is angry at first but when they begin to meet more and more often (because of Pat) they start to become closer.
Thai. 1s, 10e. The first thing I want to say is that this show really grew on me, it has a pretty controversial start and that, at first, turned me off of the show. I hated how the first episode was this romantic narrative of ‘I kissed a woman I don’t know while she was very drunk and even though she didn’t want it’ with all Prem’s friends calling pat an angel and like ‘you should be glad that no one took advantage of you’ when someone definitely did, and kind of continues this trope of unreciprocated love in the first few episodes. After they get together though, I started really liking them together and thought the rest of the story was done better. A lot happens in this show and the quality is not always the best, but I thought Ginny and Jayna did really well with what they got. 7/10

37. How Do I Kill That B?
Korean Movie - 2021
Brief synopsis: so Hayoon works with jiyoung and a man as like housekeepers for this rich couple, who don’t love each other anymore. The husband is flirty vibes with with jiyoung and so is the other man. The staff and the husband play a very intense game where they have to find and shoot one another. You see Hayoon being visibly annoyed with Jiyoung throughout the whole short film. But it ends in a very sweet confession.
Korean. 27m. One of the few short films that actually does a good job of setting up a story, setting up tension and resolving that tension satisfyingly. I, of course, wish this was longer, but it definitely served its purpose as a short film. I also quite like that if you didn’t know there was going to be a gl pairing, it would come as a complete surprise as there is not a lot of romantic foreshadowing. 7.4

38. Family Plan
Korean Movie - 2016
Brief synopsis: Plot is centered around two women who fall in love when they’re young. When they grow up they would like to have a family together, so they form a plan where one of them gets married so they can steal a child off of a man and have their own little family.
Korean. 26m. This story honestly has a really weird premise but it is really cute. I honestly didn’t expect much of this, and turned out to like it more than I thought I would. The dynamic between the two leads was also great. Again, a richer feeling short film where they capture an actual story. 7.1

39. Love Design (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Rin is an annoying little architect who does not plan on using her skills at a company. Aokbab coincidentaly has a company that desperately needs a talented architect. Rin eventually does decide to work for Aokbab when she realises they have a shared history together. They start with disliking eachother but grow closer and closer, though there is an ex that Rin needs to worry about. Namely Mind, who is also an architect at a rival company. She dated (and then betrayed) Aokbab, but decides she really wants to win her back.
Thai. 1s, 8e. This is my favorite Thai gl that has released thusfar. While it did get a lot of love for the production I think there was too much hate on the story (and Aokbab's character), I totally can understand and sympathize with her, even when she reacts badly to Rin. I think these are realistic characters, in real life, no one is perfect. There are going to be moments you are in the wrong and moments you are going to regret. While I don't always agree with her character I do understand her (same with Rin btw). I don't think they are perfect, but I don't think they need to be. Moreover the series though, I thought it was well structured, well built up and very well acted. 8.6/10

40. My Safe Zone
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Alin and Jane grew up together as best friends. Alin leaves very suddenly to become a photographer in America. Jane, who had a huge crush on Alin, is really hurt as she wasn't told that Alin was leaving. Alin is now living a successful life along with her girlfriend, Kate, who she is about to marry. When she finds out her wife-to-be is cheating on her she breaks off the engagement and loses her job. She moves back to Thailand and reunites with Jane. Jane, who at frist is still angry with her, quickly realizes that her crush never went away.
Thai. 1s, 8e. This show is one of those where the couple really saves the whole thing. While the story really had potential there were a lot of tropes that felt repeated (like where they keep getting hurt, and making up). The quality overall was not fantastic, but still satisfactory. What really made the series was the leads. Lena and Miu have so much chemistry, but they are also just really good at acting. I also think this series has been criticized too heavily for Alin's character, I think a lot of things I said about Aokbab in Love Design also apply to her. I think it's absolutely reasonable that Alin is still kind of hung up on Kate because they were together for years, planned to marry, and Alin wasn't the reason they broke up. That being said, I really just love this pairing and hope to see way more of them. 7.6/10

41. Runaway
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Win is haunted by a spirit from a past life, Boon is there to help her out on her journey to find out why this spirit wants to kill her. They are so sweet.
Thai. 1s, 8e. While I usually don't really enjoy supernatural/paranormal stuff, this show was a pleasant surprise. I think it is mostly because of the lead, who acted really well. They also did a great job of building up tension. One thing that would have made this show a whole lot better would be funding. The acting and story were good but the goofy editing made some parts more comedic then scary. 7.4/10

42. ClaireBell
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Bell has been sent to prison for drugs that weren't hers. In prison there are people to get close to and people to avoid. One of the girls she is supposed to avoid is Claire, a girl who was convicted for the murder of a science teacher when she was 16. Claire and Bell, however, grow closer when bonding over their lives and losses.
Thai. 1s, 8e. This show is really a step in the right direction for Thai gl's. It includes great cinematography, mise-en-scene, acting, deeper characters, and great music. The series not only focuses on the couple but tells the broader story of different characters. One critique I do have is some parts feel a little rushed or not as well built up as I would've liked. 8/10

43. Player
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Brief synopsis: Pun is living in America with Phetai, and all is well. Until she needs a greencard and she decides to give Phetai money for their fake marriage. Phetai, however, runs away with her money. Broke and alone, Pun decides to move back to Thailand where she is determined to track down Phetai and her money. She meets his sister, Ploy, a famous actress. Pun decides to get closer to Ploy to find out more about Phetai. But when they start growing closer, what is going to be her priority, Ploy or her money?
Thai. 1s, 12e. This show had kind of a weird curve in my opinion. At the start I didn't really have super high hopes for it, but it grew on me tremendously. I think they did a great job of storytelling and building up tension. But for some reason the ending just wasn't satisfying to me at all. I think some parts were unrealistic, and others were just plain underwhelming. I think this is still a descent show, and genuinely one I didn't want to miss, but not something I'd rewatch. The acting however is great, I was impressed by Amena's acting, especially in some of the last episodes. 7/10

44. MuTeLuv: Hello, Is This Luck?
Thai Drama - 2025, 4 episodes
Brief synopsis: Girly decides to change her number for good luck as everything in her life kind of sucks. When the number actually works, it also brings along unexpected changes is her life. She now has to choose between her longtime crush (a man) and a new flame.
Thai. 1s, 4e. While the plot is definitely interesting and it does built tension well. It didn't really have the ending I hoped (but expected), it does end in favor of the girls, but that's all I can say about it. This show just honestly made me really excited for Janhae and Jingjing's upcoming series "Enemies with benefits". They acted really well and just have a lot of chemistry, also I am in love with Jingjing. 6.5/10

45. She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
Brief synopsis: Okay so one lady really loves to cook, but she is just a single person, how is she supposed to eat everything? So, when she meets another woman who likes eating, and eats a lot, she tries to become friends so they can profit off of one another. Because the cooking lady also loves to see the other lady eat.
Japanese. 2s, 30e. I think this show is really comforting and cute. Although not that much happens each episode, it is fun to see them grow closer and enjoy eachothers company. 6.8/10 -
46. A Song Sung Blue
Chinese Movie - 2023
Brief synopsis: Girl who is like 15 and an einzelganger has a mom who is a doctor and she needs to go to Africa for some kind of exchange program, so she puts her daughter under the care of her husband, who the daughter barely knows. There she meets, and falls in love with, a girl who is essentially her stepsister. This girl is a bit older, super pretty and makes questionable choices. This stepsister takes the girl out of her comfort zone.
Chinese. 1h 32m. This movie is basically one and a half hours of beautifully shot, well acted, teenage lesbian yearning. I could relate so much to the main character, maybe because I also fell in love with the stepsister. While I probably would not watch this a second time, I do think it is beautiful and am glad to have watched it. 7.5/10 -
47. Broken of Love
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
Brief synopsis: Arisa is a business woman who has one sole rival. One late night, she accidentally falls for her rival's daughter. After she finds out who this woman is, Arisa decides to use her for her own business purposes. How can she cope with hiding this secret and trying to ruin her enemy's business?
Thai. 1s, 8e. First of all, I think the acting was really great. Although I think the story did have some awkward pacing at times, I think the story in itself wasn't bad. The ending felt a little off to me, i didn't like the mothers dating trope, but all in all I think it was a great effort and showed how invested Faye is in putting something great out there. Also, I'm in love with Atom. 7.8/10
