One of the most intriguing, suspenseful, well-paced mystery / time travel dramas!
Refreshingly original plot, well-written characters, excellent performances and cleverly orchestrated plot-twists.

I think this phrase summarizes the message that this drama succeeded to deliver!
And everyone in the production team (writing, directing, cinematography, music), but most of all the cleverly selected cast [child actors, rookie actors and veterans] gave their best for this incredible outcome!
A definite must-watch, or re-watch!

A wonderful story about family and bonding, coming of age, war, overcoming loss and grieve, and one of the most beautiful love stories I've seen in a long while between Suzu and Shusaku.
With a magnificent music score from Joe Hisaishi, a brilliant cinematography and depiction of rural Japan during the WW2 and superb performances, this underrated, criminally unnoticed drama was so painfully touching, inspiring and bittersweet! A pure 10/10 in my list.

Dark, heavy and very sophisticated.
Unique and tightly knitted plot, masterfully woven characters and interconnections, gripping story-telling.
With some mind-blowing plot twists, top-notch acting, superb cinematography, directing and music and a performance of a lifetime from Lee Seung Gi, this drama is definitely and outstanding watching experience.

Exceptionally detailed in every aspect: not even one character is unnecessary, not even one line or moment of silence is in excess, not even a scene is a filler...

I'd been putting off starting this drama for a long time because I knew it was heavy, deep, dark and very very sad,
so I needed to be in the right mood for it.
But, some recent posts about it and my autumn blues made me decide to watch it - and I binged it in a day.
Nothing much to say about this painfully beautiful masterpiece: story, dialogues, production, acting were perfection.
Nagayama Eita and Mitsushima Hikari were beyond superb!
