Based on all the dramas I've completed for 2022, this is the list of the actresses I've enjoyed watching the most.

  • Kim Min Ha

    South Korean

Her performance in Pachinko was so pure and refreshing. She was truly the star of that show!

  • Kim Tae Ri

    South Korean

I took my first fencing lessons in April, 2022, ironically, but not due to the drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One. It was just a freak coincidence. I knew about this drama, but I didn't know the particulars of what it was about until I got around to watch it in the 2nd half of 2022. Having done that though made me absolutely appreciate the stellar actress that is Kim Tae Ri! To play such a youthful and impressive character, with all the emotions that went with it, and then add the energy required to make the competitions look so real and powerful is beyond my imagination. She's slowly becoming one of my favorite Korean actresses of all time.

  • Gina Jin

    Chinese

I first knew of Gina when she played the character I loved to hate in my all-time FAV Asian drama rn, You Are My Glory . Gina is now becoming one of my top Chinese actresses. She changed me from hate to love in Why Women Love . Then she turned around and blew me out of the park with her romance in Falling Into You ! What can I say, she's won me over 1 drama at a time!

  • Ruby Lin

    Taiwanese

Watching Ruby in  a more mature role was a treat. Her acting in Light the Night  showed why she is such a prized and appreciated veteran actress.

  • Yu Shu Xin

    Chinese

Yu Shu Xin plays silly and sweet really well. Regardless of what others may say, I thought her acting in 'Love Between Fairy and Devil' was an improvement from Moonlight  which I happened to enjoy watching as well. I like her in theses roles. She's very authentic.

  • Zhao Lu Si

    Chinese

I prefer Lu Si in drama's like Love Like the Galaxy. This one she really hit the mark. I prefer this cross between serious/forlorn and silly. Her comedic timing just keeps getting better, but I prefer her comedies to be more genuine than slapstick. This is the best of Lu Si, right here.

Still getting around to Who Rules the World though. Sorry Yang Yang, I didn't get to put you on my 2022 list because I just didn't click the play button on this one last year. lol.

  • Lee Sung Kyung

    South Korean

Sh**ting Stars is my most favorite Sung Kyung drama to date. This is the type of thing where she just shined. She had such great chemistry with the entire cast as well. I was having as much fun watching her in this drama as she seemed to be having filming it.

Hopefully she can carry this energy into Dr. Romantic Season 3 and work on building that same rapport with Hyo Seop. She just hasn't had chemistry with her co-star since Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, she was dating her co-star back then. Now that I see she can have a good connection with her leading man, I want her to pull Hyo Seop into what really needs to happen. I'm thinking she can do it, now that her acting has really matured.

  • Kim Go Eun

    South Korean

Wanted to rank her higher. Despite her limited filmography, she's always been a great actress in my eyes. However, unfortunately, I had to simply delete Little Women for the rankings. I didn't list it as dropped because I couldn't even get through the 1st episode, & I found it unfair. It's not due to her acting or other's, but the script was unpalatable to me. Just not something I could stomach watching so I left it off the list.

HOWEVER, as in the past, she just was fantastic in Yumi's Cells Season 2. This is HER drama. This is wiped Goblin from the memory banks and now she's Yumi instead of Eun Tak. lol

  • Kim Se Jeong

    South Korean

I had fun watching Se Jeong in A Business Proposal. She made that drama a good laugh and entertaining.

  • Park Eun Bin

    South Korean

Even though I didn't really enjoy the final results of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, I cannot deny, for 3/4ths of that drama she did some damn good acting of an autistic person.
