Mesmerizing acting performances

Actors and actresses who really displayed their acting skills in some roles. You end up forgetting the story at time, just to admire their talent. Of course they rely on complex and marvelously written  characters. Thank you screenwriters!

  • Son Ye Jin

    South Korean

Her acting in "Something in the rain" nailed it in every aspect of her quite realistic character: work toxic relationships, love doubts and passion, family "filters" you have to put up with...

  • Zo In Sung

    South Korean

I watched the movie Frozen flower and the drama It's okay, that's love. Both very different but complex characters he really brought to another level. He manages to make  you understand and believe in these characters who are difficult to grasp.

  • Yoo Ah In

    South Korean

In Secret Love affair, he is constantly on the edge, adding to the "calm before the storm" atmosphere of the drama. You literally hold up your breath when he appears on the screen.  In Chicago typewriter, his role is more "drama mainstream" but he manages to show a lot of different feelings and attitudes.

  • Ji Sung

    South Korean

In the drama "Secret", he manages to completely overturn what you feel towards the character. And he does that gradually and in a very believable manner.

  • Seo Yea Ji

    South Korean

The character she portrayed in It's ok not to be ok is really one of a kind. Someone with constant anger issues and no self restraint. But Ye JI manages to express her inner struggles and loneliness. She shifts her acting from impersonating an evil witch, a cute psychopath or a girl madly in love. And she always find the right tune.

  • Cho Seung Woo

    South Korean

His portrayal of Kwang prosecutor in Stranger has really found a way to express a wide range of feelings and a complex understanding of human relationships  despite being emotionless, or at least being  a character who doesn't show at all his emotions. Being able to express so much with so little is the mark of great acting.

I'm quite convinced that the character was inspired by the Albert Camus novel L'étranger although I couldn't read any confirmation on this.
