In February 2023, he entered the singing survival show "Boys Planet", where he finished in 5th place and was able to join the project group. He made his debut in July 2023 as ZB1's rapper, vocalist and dancer with their first mini-album, "Youth in the Shade". They are managed by WakeOne Entertainment (웨이크원엔터테인먼트), and their contract was set to last for two and a half years.
In March 2024, they debuted in Japan under LAPONE Entertainment with the single "Yura Yura".
In January 2026, they signed a 2-month extension to complete group activities, including a concert. In March of that year, the contract ended, but he decided to continue under WakeOne as ZB1.
