He joined CRYING NUT in 1993 as the accordionist and keyboardist when they started performing in nightclubs and small festivals. In 1995, they entered the Hongdae club scene in Seoul.
In 1998, they released their first album, "Speed Up Losers", and slowly became a household name in South Korea as one of the founders of Joseon Punk, a style that incorporates foreign genres while still reflecting their inherent Korean heritage. They are managed by Drug Records (드럭 레코드).
In 2011, he joined the metal band L.O.D. (short for LEGION OF DOOM), focusing on thrash and heavy metal music. Then, in 2019, he joined the Irish-style punk band DADDY O RADIO, but given their busy schedules with their original bands, they rarely perform together.
