Jimmy Lin
- Name: Jimmy Lin
- Native name: 林志穎
- Given name: Lin Lin Chih Ying
- Also Known as: Lin Zhi Ying, Lin Zhiying, Lin Chihying, 林志颖
- Nationality: Taiwanese
- Gender: Male
- Born: October 15, 1974
- Age: 51
Born in Zhongzheng, Taipei, Taiwan, with roots in Fuzhou, Lin attended Zhongxiao Elementary School, Huaisheng Junior High School, and graduated from Huagang Arts School in June 1993. His father, Lin De Xiong, was a prominent actor.
Lin's entertainment career began when he was discovered by a talent scout from UFO Records at age 15 while performing in a school play. He debuted at 17 with his first album in 1992, following his graduation from Huagang Arts School. Lin ventured into photography at 18, eventually expanding his studio to several branches.
After military service with the Army's 1718 Brigade, Lin faced career challenges but returned to establish Jimmy Studio to manage his entertainment career independently. He experienced a setback in 1998 after a serious racing accident but rebounded, becoming Taiwan's first participant in the World Rally Championship in Australia later that year.
In 1999, Lin founded the ESSO JIMMY RACING TEAM and made a significant move into professional motorsport by joining the GT Radial Racing Team in 2003. Throughout his career, he has also dabbled in entrepreneurship, including a brief stint in the restaurant business with "Dream Taste Home" in Jinghua City.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Lin released his first microfilm as a director in 2011 and established Leading Speed Enterprise Co., Ltd. in September 2018.
Lin's personal life includes a longtime relationship with model Chen Ruo Yi, culminating in marriage in 2010. They have three children together, including twins born in late 2015.
