Pi Shao Ting is the son of a director and a student in Hong Kong High School. He falls in love with principal's granddaughter Annie, which makes her boyfriend Tie Ying angry. He often bullies Pi Shao Ting. Thus, Pi Shao Ting determines to date Annie in order to provoke him. However, Tie Ying has the right to punish every student. Later, Pi Shao Ting's father is required to travel to the Mainland with his wife and children (including Pi Shao Ting) due to work commitments as a director. There Pi Shao Ting meets Shaolin kid, and is trained to learn Martial arts in the Shaolin Temple. Having returned to Hong Kong, one day he goes to the principal's office. He happens to hear a dialogue about conspiracy between the father and his son. Afterwards, the principal sees through their trick and withdraws his duties. However, dismissed as principal, he plans to kidnap Annie. With the help of Shaolin kid and Pi Shao Ting, Annie and his grandfather get out of danger. Pi Shao Ting, for a long time, thinks that he loves Annie. At last, he realizes that the girl he really loves is Zhen Zhu, the girl who is always accompanying him. Edit Translation

To be VERY honest, this movie is so old, yet so good!
My chinese teacher showed this movie to my mandarin class, so that we could learn the language by watching a film.
The story was good, even if the plot sometimes changed and you get a little bit confused. It has a GREAT sense of humour. i could rewatch this 10 times.
It really surprises me how old it is, yet the fantasy is great and the filming was also great. I laughed so many times, the ending was also good :)

Childhood

Another one of my childhood films. I remember Ng Man Tat being in these, and will always remember an hilarious scene of cannibals almost eating their eyeballs because they believed it gives better vision, only to be dissuaded by the marvels of near-sight glasses curing them.
Steven Hao only appeared in an few movie I've known, but always did enjoy how he played his parts in these films.
