He made his debut in May 2023 (using the stage name Wooju) as WEUS's main vocalist with their first digital single, "Purple Sky". However, a few days later, he announced his departure from the group due to health reasons. One month later, 3 other members left as well, so WEUS Entertainment (위어스엔터테인먼트) began conversations with him and his family about a possible comeback. In September 2023, he was reintroduced to the lineup.
Then, all the members entered the Japanese singing survival show "Re:Born" but were not successful. At the same time, the agency continued making several unexplained lineup changes and had prolonged inactivity on the group’s social media. The fans speculated the group had quietly disbanded, and that was confirmed by two members in September 2025.
