He made his debut in June 2014 (using the stage name Vankundi) when he joined two of his high school seniors and formed the R&B and hip-hop band DOPEMANSION. They released their first EP, "Young Adult's Way".
However, after releasing one more EP, he decided to switch to R&B and jazz and left the band to work as a solo artist. He made his debut in September 2017 with the EP, "Repeat".
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on December 9, 2019 and was discharged on June 23, 2021.
He is currently represented by Magic Strawberry Sound (매직스트로베리사운드).
