He made his debut in July 2012 as the group's rapper and dancer with their first single album, "Bigstart". In 2014, they became the first South Korean group to hold 100 concerts in Japan.
In early 2016, he went on hiatus and never returned to the group's lineup. The agency, Brave Entertainment (브레이브엔터테인먼트), never provided an explanation for his absence.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on February 27, 2017, and was discharged on February 15, 2019.
His contract with Brave Entertainment ended in July 2019, but he decided not to renew it. As all the members opted to do the same, BIGSTAR disbanded.
Afterwards, he remained out of the entertainment industry for several years but kept working on his own music. He returned in February 2024 (using the stage name Amón) with the digital single "Club Wolf".
