Lee Jai Jin
- Name: Lee Jai Jin
- Native name: 이재진
- Also Known as: Yi Jae Jin, 李宰鎮
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: July 13, 1979
- Age: 45
He was brought in as a trainee by DSP Media (DSP미디어; formerly known as Daesung Planning) after being part of a dance crew called "Quicksilver" in Busan and a trainee at the company of former SEO TAIJI AND THE BOYS member Lee Juno. DSP originally wanted Eun Ji Won and Kang Sung Hoon to debut as a duo, but with the huge success of H.O.T, the plan was changed in order to form an idol group, and he was also chosen.
He made his debut in April 1997 as SECHS KIES's main dancer and sub-rapper with their first album, "School Anthem". They quickly gained a substantial fanbase and are credited with pioneering the idol scene and fandom culture.
However, the group officially announced their disbandment in May 2000 and released one final digital single, "Thanks". He then went on to promote as a solo artist, debuting in early 2001 with the album "S.Wing", and went on to release a few more albums with mixed reviews.
In 2006, he worked in a game development company as a skilled industry personnel to fulfill his mandatory military service. This was later cancelled by the Military Manpower Administration, forcing him to enlist. He appealed the decision but lost the case and entered his mandatory military service on August 25, 2008. While serving, he was treated for psychiatric issues because of his parents' death. He was granted a short leave on March 2, 2009, but he later failed to report back and cut off all contact with family and friends. He was found by military police investigators in a Daegu motel one month later and was sentenced to two years of probation that following June. After the trial, he was sent back to his unit and was finally discharged on August 10, 2010.
In April 2016, SECHS KIES reunited during several episodes of "Infinite Challenge" and later signed a contract (except Ko Ji Yong) with YG Entertainment (YG엔터테인먼트). They began releasing new material again and celebrated their 20th anniversary with several concerts and a new album in April 2017.
The contract with YG ended in January 2024, indicating the group had disbanded again. He is an independent artist and is now more focused on his career as a painter (using the stage name Hanzo).
