Yoo Yeon Jung is a South Korean singer, dancer, musical actress, former member of I.O.I (아이오아이) and current member of WJSN (우주소녀, also known as COSMIC GIRLS). She graduated from Hanlim Arts High School and is enrolled in the Musical program at Dankook University.

In January 2016, she participated in the survival show "Produce 101", where she finished in 11th place, thus securing a spot in the show's project group. She debuted in May 2016 as I.O.I's main vocalist with their first EP, "Chrysalis", and actively promoted as a whole and in assigned sub-units for less than a year before YMC Entertainment (YMC엔터테인먼트) and Swing Entertainment (스윙엔터테인먼트) announced their disbandment in January 2017.

Just before I.O.I disbanded, Starship Entertainment (스타쉽엔터테인먼트) announced that she would join their recently created new girl group. She joined WJSN in August 2016 as the new main vocalist and maknae with their second mini-album, "The Secret". The group had debuted 5 months earlier, but Starship and their co-managerial partner, Yuehua Entertainment (위에화엔터테인먼트) agreed that bringing a 13th member would be the best choice for them.

However, WJSN has been on hiatus since March 2023, and there are no plans for a comeback, as all members are focused on their individual activities. Yuehua decided to end their collaboration with Starship after all 3 Chinese members left the group.

She is now focusing on her career as a musical actress and is represented by King Kong by Starship (킹콩 by 스타쉽).
