Orihara Keiko was a Japanese actress born in Komonma, Kita-Soma, Ibaraki, Japan. She graduated from Ibaraki Prefectural Toride High School for Girls and initially worked as a typist and trainee nurse. In 1945, she joined Daiei Film Company as one of its first new faces. Orihara made her film debut in 1946 with "Kare to Kanojo wa Iku."

She reached the height of her popularity in late 1947 but had to pause her career due to tuberculosis. She resumed acting in 1949 and married film producer Mikami Kunitoshi in 1951. Orihara signed with Toei in 1952 but became a freelance actress again in 1955, shifting her focus to television. Her acting career was further limited by childbirth and child-rearing.

Her family included former professional baseball player Shinozuka Kazunori, her son-in-law; actor Mikami Hiroshi, her nephew; and Shinozuka Kazumasa, her grandson.

Orihara Keiko passed away from acute myocardial infarction on November 24, 1985, at the age of 59.
