He made his debut in April 1999 as the bassist and sub-vocalist of rock band YADA with their first album, "Wear to Healing YADA". The band become well-known for their sad lyrics and emotional interpretations. However, despite several comebacks and a small but strong fanbase, Sambu Entertainment (삼부엔터테인먼트) was not able to promote them more. The strong competition from bands like FLOWER and the creative differences that began emerging between the members forced them to disband in early 2004.
He then ventured into stage plays and musicals, debuting in 2003 with a role in the musical "Werther". He is represented by SMG (에쓰엠지).
