He was a trainee for 2 years and 9 months including time at YG Entertainment where he was considered a potential member of AB6IX but eventually not making it. He also served as backup dancer for MXM, AB6IX's sub-unit, and trained with CIX‘s Seunghoon and AB6IX‘s Woong. He entered "Produce X 101" but was eliminated in the final episodes and ranked 27th.
He made his debut in 2020 as the leader, main rapper, main dancer and vocalist of the group with their 1st EP “The Intersection : Belief". In 2023, he participated in "Peak Time" trying to promote and increase the group's activities.
On August 18, 2023, it was announced that BDC is parting ways with BRANDNEW MUSIC after 4 years.
