Kang Hee Seon is a South Korean voice actress. She graduated from Chungkyung High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Broadcasting Entertainment from the Seoul College of Arts. She made her debut in 1979 as part of the 10th open recruitment for voice actors at TBC. The following year, she was reassigned as part of the 15th open recruitment for voice actors at KBS due to the TV merge. She remained under an exclusive contract with the network until 1985 when she became a freelancer. She is well-known for providing the Korean voice for a wide variety of characters and foreign stars and has won numerous prizes in her career. In 2021, she was diagnosed with colon cancer with liver metastasis and underwent many rounds of chemotheraphy, receiving a prognosis of two years to live. She continued to work, filming one of the Crayon Shin Chan movie for many hours while getting treatment. Fortunately, in 2023, new analyses revealed her to be cancer-free.
