He participated in the Moulin Rouge founded in 1932 and wrote a new comedy script under the name of Shinpei Ima . Later, he entered the script section of PCL . In 1939 (Showa 14), a friend, Dazai Osamu , dedicated a short story, “ Dog Dog ”.
1940 (1940), NHK in the TV experiment broadcasting, which is the first TV drama in Japan " Yugemae , he was responsible for the screenplay ". After the war, changed the pseudonym to Harube Ima.
In 1956, he won the 7th NHK Broadcasting Culture Award . In 1961 (Showa 36), we win art festival encouragement prize in "East of country" . In 1965 (Showa 40), won the Mainichi Art Award at the Gunner Festival Eve .
In 1976 (Showa 51), he became the first caller of a song . (The title “Saka”)
