Cui Shao Yang is a Chinese actor and singer born in Xinxiang, Henan, China. He attended the Affiliated Middle School of Henan Normal University in high school and was a track and field athlete, winning the Henan Province Men's 1500m Track and Field Championship. Later, due to an injury, he was unable to continue his career as a track and field athlete and turned to studying acting. In 2013, he was accepted to the Chengdu University of Technology majoring in acting.

In August 2018, Shao Yang joined the actor idol boy group "KX-TIMES" (康曦少年团), serving as the captain. On July 12, the group released its first EP "Hu Die Yu Duo" (蝴蝶云朵).
